A team of scientists from Japan’s Osaka University have recently developed the most powerful laser beam ever. In order to produce a powerful and most energetic laser beam scientists used a devices called LFEX and produced a laser beam having energy 2 PetaWatts (10^15) which is nearly equal to 1000 times of the total energy consumption of the entire world.<br> </p> <p>US Navy uses a laser capable of blasting drones and boats with just one hit and the laser is having a range of 30 kilometres. </p> <h2><br></h2> <p><img src="https://s18.postimg.org/ief4oitjt/LFEX_most_powerful_laser_2.jpg" width="750" height="500"/></p> <h2><br> <strong>How does LFEX works?</strong> </h2> <p>A laser capable of producing that much amount of power, 15 zeroes quantitatively, must require a huge source of energy. But surprisingly the laser doesn’t require this huge amount of energy to give that output. It actually uses the same amount of power that a oven uses for a microseconds. This energy is further amplified with the help of amplifiers (300 foot glass tubes) and concentrating it to a 1 picosecond and the ultimate output consists of crazy energy levels.
