It was 8 am on that faithful day, ma'dam as I fondly like to call her was pasting up and down in her foam-selling store just opposite the direction of my honey store. Holding her cell phone in one hand trying to call a particular number repeatedly without any success.

I could barely hear his sales assistant scolding her for trusting a stranger with a big amount of money.

At this point, I just knew my friend was in some sort of trouble but what it was I couldn't tell yet. I could smell someone taking advantage of her kind heart and naive mind again, and this made me upset like I needed to punch someone in the face kind of upset.

I patiently held on to my thoughts and wait till she could tell me exactly what had happened.

I have known her for just about five months, I was new in the area and she has been so kind and nice to me like I have known her forever. 

Only that, her good heart is at the same time her weakness. She is fond of trusting people too easily without giving them the benefits of thoughts. 

Trust is a good thing but when given to the wrong people can be dangerous, I guess my friend is just about to learn a great lesson about that the hard way.

This must be part of the reason I have been so close to her, I knew with her kind of heart she is vulnerable to the bad guys who will never see her good heart but an opportunity for exploitation and when this happens I will be there to be her wolve's slayers, or how to prevent such from happening in the first place.

Not so long, just like I had expected, she ran from her store across the road to join me at my end. Her eyes were not smiling, her mouth was blowing hot her body was a bit shaky.

Then she begins by calling out my name in a frustrated tone, she has the sweetest voice you can think but today her voice was shaky and breaking like a faulty brake pad. 

*Ramsey, as she likes to call me. I had fucked up and someone is trying to steal from me.*

It happens my friend had trusted a guy he just met a month ago to help her purchase a Samsung phone that was worth 175$ as of then and this guy has stopped picking up his call for since over a week🤨. Exactly how my eyes were wide open throughout her story narration.

I said, babe, you fucked up but that one aside, we are going to get the money back. Did she ask me how? I asked her if she knew his house and She said no.

I called a friend that called a friend and after five days we were able to track down his address. 

I talked to another friend who refers us to his police friends and some police officers arranged for us to move in and kicked him up at night. My friend got to know from their conversation that he is usually home latest by 10 pm. 

Long story short we got to his house around 11 pm and picked him up to the station.

After collecting both of their statement, he admitted to having collected the money from my friend without buying the phone.

He was made to refund the money that night or he Will be locked up in a cell until he can repay us.

After much dragging back and forth we got a full refund from him and left the station around 1 am. The funniest thing was my friend could not challenge him during all the drama, she was busy laughing like laughing gas, as she went and got drunk because she was really upset. I was the person that did most of the talking and dragging words with the him until he admits to his crime. 

After this event, my friend begins to see me as some kind of a hero. She appreciates the fact that I stood by her, defends her, and make sure she got her money back intact.

Seeing this weekend's experience question now, I think if my Ma'dam will write a book about my life she might just see me as her *Hero*.
She use to jokingly call me her defender and I will say God is our defender.
