Sometimes we just have to try. The important thing here is the hand of friendship of true friends that will always be there. Whatever the consequences.  One must also learn from one's mistakes and look before you leap.

Dreams are usually sold by the monkey and the elephant is the one who has to take the risk!

If the elephant manages to grab the monkey's wrists in order to execute the move, they both plummet to their death, unless there is a safety net. It doesn't matter who instigated it if it comes to the point where the elephant grabs the monkey's wrists.

So if you think pessimistic approach is good.. They would have never flown ever.. nor would it be possible to travel the space.. Dreams have to be impractical according to OSHO practical is negative.. 

Go with the truth, not with optimism or pessimism. In doing so, be humane and understanding. At times, we have to take risks and bite the bullet. 

Even the cleanest path will have specs of dirt every once in a while. The question is, will you look at path or the dirt? I would look at where I'm going.

What is the difference between 'thinking big' and 'being overoptimistic'?  

I sense if, ex post, things worked out you were 'thinking big' and if they failed you were 'being overoptimistic'.  But it is so hard to be clear on this difference ex ante, that is what risk taking is all about.

Overconfidence disguised as over optimistic outlook, particularly at senior managerial level, can do more harm and than good for the company , especially if the person is in incharge of making investment decisions.

In this life everything is to learning to balance. You don't found anything in the extreme. To be continue negative you finish with depression. 

To be 100 % positive, you are going to finish other person, will abuse to you. Because you don't recognize when other person is a malicious person, that use and abuse to you. 

And most of us in one or another we fold in the trap. Until  one day you wake up all by yourself, and say: Enough is enough. I cannot believe I was blind...but now I can see..!
