# English

In my town there are a lot of abandoned things, be it streets, buildings, machinery or simply objects. I imagine that in other places there are also, but when I found so many things like these, I took the task of photographing them.
 
Notice that they are all photographs of objects that we know, or maybe not; others are neglected streets, or simply small things that, with the passing of time were forgotten. This set of photos I divided them into four pairs and I titled the whole collection "Abandonment".

**Electrical devices**s

Although in the street you can find things like traffic lights, lamp posts, signs, among other things, today there are still, in some streets of my city, the public telephones of a telephone company in my country. These telephones used to work with cards, but today they are no longer used. It is very common to see these devices in my city, all worn out, vandalized and damaged. You can see one of these pay phones in the **first photo**.

In the **second photo** there is also an electrical device that I don't know what it is or what it is for, but since it has wires I've assumed it falls into this category. It was there, in that iron post, just in one corner. 

**Stops and signs**

Among other things, I was very struck by how the many signs with avenue names or signage have deteriorated. They just sit there, slowly dying from water, sun and rust. An example of this can be seen in the **third photo**.

The same happens with the bus stops that were forgotten with the passing of time. In the beginning they were beautiful and looked good, now they look like garbage dumps falling apart, with debris all over the place. The **fourth photo** is another example of this.

**Machinery**

As happens in all cities, in my small town there are many buildings that were never finished, that were abandoned half built and over time have deteriorated. Sometimes they tend to leave behind machinery that they planned to use but never went looking for, this is the case. 

In the **fifth and sixth photographs** you can see two small vehicles that were abandoned in unfinished construction. It has been years since this building project was abandoned and that same amount of years have this pair of vehicles there. I don't know what function each one serves, but there they are, rusting and falling apart.

**Streets**.

There are streets in my city that are really lonely and depressing. I usually walk through these every day and it's not a place I like to be; in fact, I usually avoid passing through there because of how ugly those streets are. Maybe they wouldn't be so ugly if they were given a little more care, but the truth is that nature always claims its place and there is more greenery, leaves, debris and rust than the nice, well-kept streets that once existed.

The **seventh and eighth photographs** show a couple of dilapidated and abandoned streets. Sometimes nature adorns the abandonment of these streets with beautiful flowers, so something positive can be drawn from all this neglect.

En mi pueblo hay un montón de cosas abandonadas, llámese calles, edificios, maquinaria o simplemente objetos. Imagino que en otros lugares también los hay, pero al encontrarme con tantas cosas como estas, me di a la tarea de fotografiarlas.
 
Fíjense que todas son fotografías de objetos que conocemos, o tal vez no; otras son calles descuidadas, o simplemente pequeñas cosas que, con el pasar del tiempo fueron olvidadas. Este conjunto de fotos las dividí en cuatro pares y a toda la colección la titulé "Abandono"

**Aparatos eléctrico**s

Aunque en la calle uno se puede encontrar cosas como semáforos, postes de luz, señales, entre otras cosas, hoy en día aún existen, en algunas calles de mi ciudad, los teléfonos públicos de una compañía de telefonía de mi país. Estos teléfonos funcionaban con tarjetas, pero hoy en día ya no se usan. Es muy común ver estos aparatos en mi ciudad, todos gastados, vandalizados y dañados. Pueden ver uno de estos teléfonos públicos en la **primera foto**.

En la **segunda foto** también hay un aparato eléctrico que no sé de qué es ni para qué sirve, pero al tener cables yo he se suponer que entra en esta categoría. Estaba ahí, en ese post de hierro, solo en una esquina. 

**Paradas y señalizaciones**

Entre otras cosas, me llamó mucho la atención cómo se han deteriorado los tantos letreros con nombres de avenidas o señalizaciones. Simplemente están allí, muriendo lentamente por el agua, el sol y el óxido. Un ejemplo de esto lo pueden ver en la **tercera foto**.

Lo mismo sucede con las paradas de autobús que fueron olvidas con el paso del tiempo. En un comienzo eran bellísimas y lucían bien, ahora parecen basureros cayéndose a pedazos, con escombros por todos lados. La **cuarta foto **es otro ejemplo de esto.

**Maquinaria**

Tal como sucede en todas las ciudades, en mi pequeña ciudad hay muchos edificios que nunca se terminaron, que fueron abandonados a medio construir y con el tiempo se han deteriorado. A veces suelen dejar atrás maquinaria que planeaban usar pero que nunca fueron a buscar, este es el caso. 

En la **quinta y sexta fotografía** se pueden ver dos pequeños vehículos que fueron abandonados en una construcción inconclusa. Hace años que se abandonó el proyecto de este edificio y esa misma cantidad de años tienen este par de vehículos allí. Ignoro qué función cumple cada uno, pero allí están, oxidándose y cayéndose a pedazos.

**Calles**

Hay calles de mi ciudad que son realmente solitarias y deprimentes. Suelo caminar por estas todos los días y no es un lugar por el que me guste estar; de hecho, suelo evitar pasar por allí por lo feas que son esas calles. Quizás no serían tan feas si se les prestara un poco más de cuidado, pero lo cierto es que la naturaleza siempre reclama su lugar y hay más verde, hoja, escombros y óxido que las bonitas y bien cuidadas calles que existían en un principio.

La **septima y octava fotografía** muestran un par de calles deterioradas y abandonadas. A veces la naturaleza adorna el abandono de estas calles con bellas flores, así que se puede extraer algo positivo de todo este abandono.
