El día de ayer se celebró en la ciudad de Barquisimeto un evento de hive, en el que se llevó nuevamente información sobre la blockchain a la universidad, en este caso a la Universidad Simón Rodriguez Núcleo Barquisimeto.

Esto es interesante porque se está llegando a un público joven, personas que están familiarizados con la web2, ya que durante las ponencias muchos dijeron cosas que me parecieron interesantes y se ve que no son ajenos al tema de redes sociales, creación de contenido, derechos de autor, libertad de expresión y otros temas de los que también se hablaron durante la actividad. 


Siempre es genial ver y escuchar a otras personas hablar sobre algo que te gusta. Uno disfruta mucho consumiendo contenido sobre temas de su interés; sin embargo, es aún más interesante cuando estas presente en este tipo de ponencias que van dirigidas a un público que quizás está escuchando sobre estos temas por primera vez.

This is interesting because we are reaching a young audience, people who are familiar with web2, since during the presentations many said things that I found interesting and it is clear that they are not alien to the topic of social networks, content creation, copyright, freedom of expression and other issues that were also discussed during the activity.

It's always great to see and hear other people talk about something you like. You really enjoy consuming content on topics that interest you; however, it's even more interesting when you are present at these types of talks that are aimed at an audience that may be hearing about these topics for the first time.

Aunque muchos quizás no se interesen realmente por el tema, puede que hayan muchos otros que sí vean en hive muchas cosas de valor para ellos. Hive puede ser de gran utilidad para estos jóvenes estudiantes y, a su vez, ellos pueden aportar mucho valor a esta blockchain.

Recuerdo que durante las ponencias habían algunos jóvenes que realmente entendían lo que estaban explicando los ponentes, otros que hacían preguntas, algunos que quizás tenían dudas y que, en definitiva, con más apoyo e información podrían ser hivers potenciales que aporten al ecosistema.

While many may not really be interested in the topic, there may be many others who do see a lot of value in hive for themselves. Hive can be of great use to these young students and, in turn, they can bring a lot of value to this blockchain.

I remember that during the presentations there were some young people who really understood what the speakers were explaining, others who asked questions, some who perhaps had doubts and who, in short, with more support and information could be potential hivers that contribute to the ecosystem.

Uno realmenten no sabe el impacto que puede tener una persona en un proyecto, así que siempre es bueno sumar caras nuevas a hive, porque aquí todos pueden aportar un granito de arena para hacer que este lugar sea mucho mejor de lo que ya es. Además, siempre veo en estos jóvenes universitarios una gran oportunidad, porque tienen mentes más frescas y con más ideas, ideas que quizás aún no se les han ocurrido a los que ya están dentro de hive. 

El punto es que es bonito cuando se busca integrar a esta nueva generación de estudiantes a la web3. Como decía una de las láminas de una de las presentaciónes: "Quizás Hive no sea la solución definitiva, aunque si la alternativa".

You really don't know the impact that one person can have on a project, so it's always good to add new faces to hive, because here everyone can contribute a grain of sand to make this place much better than it already is. Also, I always see in these young university students a great opportunity, because they have fresher minds and more ideas, ideas that maybe haven't yet occurred to those who are already inside hive.

The point is that it's nice when you look to integrate this new generation of students into web3. As one of the posters in one of the presentations said: "Maybe Hive is not the definitive solution, but it is the alternative".

¿Alternativa a que? En en una de las ponencias se les explicó a los jóvenes sobre las alternativas que ofrece hive a las redes sociales centralizadas. Se les habló de los muchos frontend que tenemos, tales como Liketu, los threads de leofinance, 3speak o las 3 frontend para blog, como hive.blog, peakd o ecency.

Cuando explicaban esto me fijé en lo que hacían muchos de los jóvenes y era interesante verlos comentar algunas de estas cosas entre ellos, mientras señalaban la información plasmada en las presentaciónes, algo que muestra interés de su parte.

Alternative to what? In one of the presentations the young people were told about the alternatives that hive offers to centralized social networks. They were told about the many frontends we have, such as Liketu, leofinance threads, 3speak or the 3 frontends for blogging, such as hive.blog, peakd or ecency.

When they were explaining this I noticed what many of the young people were doing and it was interesting to see them commenting some of these things to each other, while pointing out the information in the presentations, something that shows interest on their part.

Cabe destacar que a la actividad asistieron muchos jóvenes. Cuando dijeron que iba a ser en un auditorio, esperaba una buena asistencia, pero no tan buena, la verdad me sorprendió que hubiesen tantas personas escuchando sobre hive, de la mano de compañeros que tienen tanta experiencia en la plataforma, como ZullyScott, Yonnathang, Joheredia o filoriologo.

El ambiente era genial, llegué a sentir cierta fascinación por la profesionalidad con la que se llevó la actividad y debo decir que me sentí contento de poder estar presente, a pesar de todos los inconvenientes que tuve ese día para poder llegar. No llegué temprano, pero sí llegué.

Ya al final de la actividad, hubo tiempo de compartir entre hiver, conversar, dar nuestras impresiones, tomarnos unas cuántas fotos grupales y como no, compartir una buena comida, conversando y disfrutando de la compañía de hivers conocidos y otros que conocí ese día. 

¿Me gustaría asistir a más evento así? Claro que si. Si fuese por mi asistiría a todos, así que mientras mis circunstancias me lo permitan, allí estaré apoyandolos como se pueda.

At the end of the activity, there was time to share among hivers, talk, give our impressions, take a few group photos and of course, share a good meal, talking and enjoying the company of known hivers and others that I met that day.

Would I like to attend more events like this? Of course I would. If it were up to me I would attend them all, so as long as my circumstances allow me, I will be there supporting you as much as I can.
