Statistics don't always tell the truth, it's not always practical. For example, According to statistics, my country is out of recession, but yet the prices of stuffs are still as high as they were, and the recession is felt in real life, but that's different from what the stats is saying on paper. A second marriage is an eyes-wide-open experience; you know what kinds of work are involved and say ‘yes’ anyway. Plus, you endured a worst-case scenario and not just survived, but thrived! A second marriage means you’ve let go of the ’perfect spouse’ ideal, embraced your imperfections and found the unique ‘must haves’ you need in a life partner. Wonderful post

Thank you for your comment on my post. I especially like the sentence where you speak of letting go of the 'perfect spouse'. That is what it is about. You are not perfect and your partner is not perfect, but together you can have a very satisfying relationship. It's indeed an eyes-wide-open experience. About statistics, it may be that for your country as a whole is out of recession. That doesn't mean that everything is going better or that you feel it's going better because you have more money or the prices aren't that high anymore. It's only on paper. What is your country? I'm living in the Netherlands and partly in France.

Well said. I thought you knew my country already. I was the one that gave the Indonesian nasi recipe for exyle which you upvoted. Thanks anywaiz for it, although am presently not in Indonesia, I had to make a quick travel for some business proposals and also for study. Am an electronic engineer by training, and we always go for these trainings and workshops to help us aquire more skills and become better at our jobs.

I knew you gave my son the nasi recipe, but you don't have to come from Indonesia to make nasi! But your recipe is very authentic and I'm going to try it (with trassi!!) Nice to have an electronic engineer who can cook so well!
