Creo que en varias oportunidades les he comentado las maravillas de los ingredientes naturales que podemos encontrar fácilmente en nuestro hogar, y que nos hacen la vida un poquito (en realidad mucho) más fácil,  el día de hoy decidí hablar de uno en específico, ¡La flor de cayena! 

Está flor es bastante fácil de encontrar en Venezuela, porque es una de las principales flores para decorar jardines de colegio, plazas o en mi caso, todas las áreas verdes de dónde vivo. Y lo que muchos desconocen es que tiene propiedades que ayudan con el insomnio, crecimiento del cabello e incluso en gripes.

I think that on several occasions I have told you about the wonders of natural ingredients that we can easily find in our home, and that make our lives a little (actually a lot) easier, today I decided to talk about one in particular, the cayenne flower! 

This flower is quite easy to find in Venezuela, because it is one of the main flowers to decorate school gardens, squares or in my case, all the green areas where I live. And what many people don't know is that it has properties that help with insomnia, hair growth and even flu.

Ya una vez lo mencioné en un post de crecimiento capilar, pero necesito volver a recalcarlo. La cayena tiene propiedades astringentes que son buenísimas para combatir calvicie, caspa y psoriasis.  Puede ser usada como gel, algunas personas también hacen un champú pero como aún no he podido probarlo. 

- En el caso del gel necesitarás los pétalos de 6 flores más o menos (solo los pétalos), y una taza de agua.  El caso es que las colocarás a hervir por aproximadamente 30min, hasta que casi no quede agua, y de ahí solo lo dejaras reposar un tiempo mínimo de 15min hasta que el agua esté un poco gelatinosa, cuando eso pase podrás sacar las flores, y si el gel está frío, puedes aplicarlo en tu cabello por 20 o 30 min.

I mentioned it once before in a post about hair growth, but I need to emphasize it again. Cayenne has astringent properties that are great for combating baldness, dandruff and psoriasis.  It can be used as a gel, some people also make a shampoo but as I haven't been able to try it yet. 


- In the case of the gel you will need the petals of 6 flowers more or less (only the petals), and a cup of water.  The thing is that you will boil them for about 30min, until there is almost no water left, and from there you just let it sit for a minimum of 15min until the water is a little gelatinous, when that happens you can take out the flowers, and if the gel is cold, you can apply it on your hair for 20 or 30 min.

Nuestra amiga la cayena es bastante útil como pueden ver, también sirve como calmante de nervios y como lo dice nuestro título, tratar el insomnio. En este caso cortaremos las flores de 2 o 3 cayenas finamente y las colocaremos en una jarra. Dentro de la misma jarra vaciaremos medio litro de agua hirviendo, lo dejaremos reposar por 5 o 10min, luego lo colaremos para retirar los pedazos de flor y listo, puedes agregar un poco de azúcar o miel. Está infusión podemos ingerirla durante el día o antes de acostarnos a dormir. Yo lo tengo esto como una opción para cuando llevo un día muy ajetreado y mi cuerpo no sabe cómo detenerse (no sé si les ha pasado) y me ayuda bastante. No lo hago de forma recurrente y según tengo entendido la preparación puede durar hasta 2 días en la nevera antes de perder propiedades.

Y sigue sorprendiéndonos la cayena, en esta ocasión vemos cómo funciona contra el resfriado común, y básicamente la infusión de prepara de la misma manera que para calmar el insomnio, recuerda no poner a hervir la flor directamente, sino agregarle el agua  caliente. Puedo decir que aparte de relajarte,  ayuda a descongestionar y relaja mucho la garganta. Así que si, funciona, o mínimo a mí me hace efecto.

Y bueno estos fueron algunas de las propiedades positivas de flor de cayena, considero de es muy útil y fácil de conseguir, realmente no usas muchos ingredientes y obtienes grandes resultados,también puedes hacer baños con esta flor y funcionará como relajante muscular.  Cada vez que investigo consigo que tiene más beneficios jajaja, espero que les sea útil está información y recuerden que estas recetas deben ser usadas como suplementos, no como una constante, si tienes muchos problemas de insomnio o si tú gripe es severa, por favor acude a un médico.
