<div class="text-justify"> <center></center> It's standard fare for people to present their lives as totally awesome at all times these days, a look on social media will demonstrate that...although I think only a fool would believe it; sometimes life is just life, not good, not bad *just life* and today was one of those for me and even though it was *average not awesome* it was enjoyable enough and I think that's quite satisfactory right? *** *** It began with a pretty legit breakfast prepared by me and eaten in my alfresco area with my partner; we lingered there a little too long although it was so enjoyable extending the enjoyment was warranted. Breakfast was, indeed, awesome, but from there the awesomeness declined exponentially levelling out at average. We headed out in my town car which needed to get new tyres fitted and a wheel alignment and while waiting for it to be completed went over to a shopping mall to wander about. I'm not much of a shopper but ended up finding a couple shirts that fitted well and were priced acceptably and we sat in a cafe for an *average not awesome* coffee before heading back to collect the car and move to our next *average not awesome* location, IKEA. <center></center> We've been considering a new eight person dining table for a little while and with life being so hectic, or through simply not wanting to give up time shopping for one, we haven't executed the plan yet, until today. We've perused tables online at some of the quality brands and found (at Natuzzi) the one we loved...but there's no fucken way we're paying that much so off we went to IKEA to shop the bargain basement end of the market. > Of course, the first thing one must do at IKEA is partake of Swedish meat balls for lunch and far be it for me to break from such a long-standing and legitimate tradition. Then the shopping began, the part I don't like, however I'll admit is was enjoyable to watch my partner get absorbed in the process. It's easy to get lost in IKEA, lost in the shopping aspect, and she does a pretty good job at it. We found a dining table we liked though, that was the mission, and while it's far from the awesome Natuzzi one we loved, it will do the job admirably despite it's averageness. We didn't buy it, I'll head down next Sunday with my pickup truck and collect it, but it feels *average not awesome* to have it selected. I had a secondary mission at IKEA, one that involves the most *awesome not average* @meesterboom who commented on my ***<a href="https://peakd.com/hive-126152/@galenkp/learning-through-time">last post</a>*** about the legit clock I used as the image. As it turns out, it is a clock from IKEA, oddly called *plugget*, which I bought a while back, it's a super fucken expensive designer clock...Ok, not really...it's a super-cheap one! While I was at IKEA I thought I'd take a snap of it for Boomy, you can see it above. All that clock for only $19 AUD? Oh yeah, that's *average not awesome* for sure! From there we headed home and that's about it, a totally *average not awesome* Sunday. We had a pretty nice time to be honest; we were together, unpressured, had no fixed times to adhere to and felt relaxed - That's an *average not awesome* Sunday, right folks? *** Anyway, that's about it...I've got a few chores to do and then I'm going to be a lazy bugger and not help make dinner. We'll be watching a series tonight and I'll have to get stuff ready for a work trip this week but other than that it'll be a totally *average not awesome* Sunday evening. What about y'all? The simplest of things .... can be awesome, especially the fact that you don't have a schedule and you can relax... that's great isn't it? I think you had a great weekend. Here it rained all day yesterday and Friday so I couldn't go to the events I wanted to go to because they were cancelled and others were impossible to attend because of the rain. But I still spent a quiet Saturday with housework and time with my family and nice company, a beautiful night...simple but nice! Today the weather is still cloudy but if you let me go out, I'll go out! I would like to go for a night walk. This weekend the weather was not good, but not bad. Hugs Galen!

A walk sounds like a good plan...I've walked in the rain on purpose sometimes...it can be refreshing. Alas, no rain here currently...below is Monday's temperature in Celcius...too hot for me...I might melt, but a night time temperature of 18 works. <center></center>

The average is sometimes quite enough 😁 I have planned a little more action for this weekend, so I will hopefully be able to write in the next few days where I was and what I did and how my weekend went. As for Natuzzi furniture, I remember how much I used to go around their showrooms when we were choosing furniture for our apartment 😁 When it's written by an Australian, with Australian standards, it's easier for me to justify that I'm not an alum and why I didn't buy anything in Natuzzi 😀

Hi mate, hope you're well and your weekend works out to plan. Yeah, Natuzzi is good, very good, but I think it's overpriced and, besides that, if I'm going to spend that sort of money I will buy Australian made to promote the economy here. That IKEA dining table is 10% the cost of the Natuzzi one, only $499AUD...seems like better value than spending $5,000 on one right? I'm not into showing off and don't need costly material items to make me feel validated or relevant.

That IKEA clock was $19 of good value I think, way cheaper than others on the market, kind of stylish and so far it works great. No complaints. Your average day seems mighty fine by me. A person's life is going to be a constant day to day of averageness. That is why it is called average anyways. There will be good days, and bad days, but it is in how we deal with the average that can truly make a difference. I've had a pretty average weekend as well. Was able to fix my faucet, and had good pizza for dinner. I even got a few exercise in.

This weekend has been pretty hectic.. It's the Lunar New Year and I visited several temples with my parents to do some praying, followed by multiple house visits to visit different relatives and friends. Especially tiring but I guess it's the happy kind of tiredness so all's good.
