So much time working and above all listening and investigating was worth it.

Generally, bad perception comes from jumping to conclusions. You can have an idea at the beginning of meeting someone or an organization but you need to dig deeper to know if that first view is real or not.

It has happened to me especially with people, the first impression was negative but I was just attentive, with time and the behavior of that person I realized that my perception was real. But it doesn't always happen that way.

On the contrary, an idea I had about a company seemed to be the best, but over time, listening and observing, I realized that was not the case.

It is always better to research and listen first.

I actually just learned in the past couple of weeks that when women have mastectomies, they usually lose their nipples as well. It's just part of the process I guess.

That something like like it doesn't mean it is the exact. There could be some variation or resemblance that is not genuinely the same.

Damn I thought you showed him your nipples or he showed you yours and it was a done deal after that. One day the deal will work like that in one of the million parallel universes!

Definitely, perceptions can be wrong and it can shield us away from many possibilities if we pay attention to them.

The absence of nipple is quite rare but possible, it's called athelia.

I think one of the reasons for your success is that you saw opportunity where the two parties saw a stumbling block, you became the perfect middleman for a successful negotiation.

When I was younger, I used to listen to people's description of others. Whether they like or dislike them, I let those affect my judgement of people. But as I grew older my experiences have shown me that it was wrong. There were times when bullies and people I dislike stay away from a person, but when I got to know that person, we actually have a lot of things in common. Now whether it is about people or new experiences, I try to keep and open mind and learn more about it myself before giving initial judgement. As they say, don't judge a book by its cover.

Companies (and countries and stuff) are made up of a bunch of people so technically it is individual perceptions, they've just gone and done the groupthink stereotype thing coz that's easy and how dare you question or go against this infallible truth XD

It's good to challenge our perception from time to time, things change and we need to change with it. 
We can be so quick to judge, that it stops us from delving deeper, from becoming more aware.
I try to be more open mind, but I do catch myself sometimes, blocking people or situations, sometimes it's for good, sometimes I really could have just took more time.
Life is all about learning.
