I've been out too, very good outing and today again in the afternoon and evening. I'm meeting up with the family in the afternoon, sharing some time, no lack of mate!

Zach Brown is some good stuff I got to see him a couple years ago at a festival. It was a good show.  It always surprises me how many people just don't check their emails on the weekend. I feel like I have a pretty decent balance between work and my personal life. That being said, I think it is good that you are taking a break. It's easy to unintentionally tip the scale too far in one direction sometimes.

I liked all three of them. I think my favorite of the three was The End. I've never listened to Five Finger Death Punch before and didn't know what to expect. Thanks for sharing those! 😁

I hope you can decompress from work and turn it off for the weekend. I’m usually good about doing that on the weekends which is nice but we took a vacation last week which was great but I caught myself looking at my email a few times. Thankfully I cleared up some issues but at the same time I have coverage for a reason! I need to get back to the point where I don’t check my emails at all when I’m off so that I can relax for a week before jumping back into the dumpster fire. 

Relaxing on a hammock - that sounds like a great fucking time with a book! It’s been years since I’ve chilled out on one. The last time I was on one was a bit of a memorable fail but something I hadn’t thought about for many years haha. 

In the last two years, as the Covid epidemic ended and the world returned to normal, some new HR concepts and ideas surfaced, which greatly relaxed the way new colleagues work. We old people, who used to give 110% every day and almost 100% over the weekend, for work needs, looked up to them. That's why I slowed down about a year ago. as you say, I'm getting old and I don't need to be at 1% more than 100%. And how should I work during the weekend, when I like to correspond here with you, to watch good movies, read, sit... I enjoy my free time...
As for the movie you're going to watch, isn't it this one - Hacksaw Ridge?
If not and if you haven't watched it, I recommend it.

This weekend has been kind off slow very slow, i am here on hive, reading posts ( yours ) and thinking to write a post, but sitting on a chair is making me go to sleep, i don't know why, but this is happening and I don't have any control on this. I am trying to be active. Glad to know you have utilize your weekend and read some books and watched movies :) 

It is good if you can unplug on the weekends.

Even if it is good stress and you are good at your work, it doesn't stop it from being stress all the same. It can sometimes work against your health, no matter how much you love doing it.

I hope your weekend has been as restful as you needed it to be.

Here it's just the night of a Saturday with a lot of heat and humidity, suddenly I recommend this movie, the viy to watch tonight The Last Samurai... it is a classic film that even in war and power tells a story of love, loyalty, strength and hope Galen. 

I am also in the autumn of my life and I am getting slow for some work activities now. Aging like being born are beautiful miracles in this life and nothing like contemplating them from self-knowledge, self-care, always combining beauty and pure inner truth.

I can relate to this. I do get the feeling of shouting profanities just because I can't do what I was able to do back in the day. Getting old is part of life and we just have to accept and do the best we can with what we have or don't have. I do love that movie "The Last of the Mohicans". If I have to guess, the war movie might even be "Platoon". 😎

Then an irate neighbor went off on me and accused us (me and the neighbor who had the kitten issues) of bringing strays into and ruining the neighborhood. Dumb fukker does not realize that rescue spay neuter is exactly the opposite of bringing them in.

Now watching the world (middle east) circle the drain in real time. 

So much for my Saturday. Wonder if we will see another one.?

Yup, definitely feeling the age here with the move and packing/unpacking. We've got most of the living space in order now, still a garage full of boxes of the other stuff waiting. I did get a workbench and storage cabinet for freedom pills put together yesterday. 

I was going to guess "The Great Escape", or "Dirty Dozen" for your movie, if not they should be :) I just saw the heading for TGE across my channel picker yesterday and added it to my repeat list. 

Tough situation for a workaholic... 😂

Resting on the hammock and reading a book seems like a very wonderful way to spend the weekend. I'm spending some time with family and eating home cooked meals. My niece is playing around and making videos on her mom's phone. It is uneventful but fun.
