I'm not a good talker; in fact, I prefer to listen when I'm among strangers to understand who I'm with. From there, I'll have a better idea of how to approach them or how to behave as myself... and yes, I'm a better listener than an interlocutor; that has saved me many times.

Everyone likes to feel relevant, or admired, but if you don't earn that right by showing how to do it, your speech will be in vain.
 
The guys at work sometimes they carouse me because I keep an intense pace; someone told me yesterday that I'm too demanding of her in particular... and she says it with confidence but with respect, because they know that I do it first and foremost so that they are excellent specialists and because they know that's how a company that aspires to make money works... little by little, they have to learn to compete in a world different from ours... 

I like to teach them, to show them, but sometimes they make me impatient...😁

So, if one day I have to start from scratch in a new place, at least I'll have the aptitude to face change.

This is something I often struggle with. I know I don't always come across the way I would like to. I hope that people can see my actions even if I struggle to come up with the right words sometimes.

this is so true, i knew that saying too and always loved it... it's full of people just talking and talking but then showing nothing. I had both father and mother - in law fullfilling their mouths with how good they are at this, at that, how they would help with this... and then when the time to help came, puff, disappeared

or in the workplace, promises and promises and then nothing, just blabla

I do but also I don't because it freaks me right the hell out (bad case of imposter syndrome).  Probably makes up for the time when I was younger and wanted to be rich and famous like everyone else xD

Sometimes people don't take the time to observe and therefore never get the chance to form an opinion past the 'first glance/meeting'. And it is to those people I say...'Bitch, you're missin' out' lol.  



Not exactly, but I will not circle around and bust my ass trying to impress them.  Playing the long game is how I've lived up until now and it works for me.  



In the same vein, I try not to form immediate opinions about other people, though sometimes that proves difficult.   I can then imagine them saying 'Bitch, you're missin' out!' lol

Words can instill something in a person at the first meeting (not everyone). I agree, actions can prove to everyone around us what we are capable of.
