The people that live there and have seen it before. The people that have visited seen it and been trapped by it before. It is awesome in its unrelenting flow to the sea, it doesn't matter that there is a road there, it will flow over the road, a house in the way? I will flow over, or in one lucky case around the house to reach the sea.

It really is an awesome spectacle to see. The sound of it sliding over and around and the trees tumbling in its path, the sound of cars being pushed, and exploding. Then there is the sound from when it reaches the sea, the steam and the heat and the mist of the vaporized waters.

One has to be so careful around the living flows. You have to know that you have a way out, that your path is not going to be blocked. It does move slow, you almost always have time to get out of the way, but you just never know when an old tube will open up.

All that, it is still something to really see and experience in person. Oh also you can ski at Mauna Loa ski resort if you did not know, and it is real snow, not man made.

I read your post about volcan. Really a very interesting post. For me, the  lava of Mount Merapi are terrible. Reminds me of a very hot hell. in Indonesia there are many volcanoes and often erupt causing casualties and tsunamis. Currently many volcanoes are still active, such as the  Krakatoa mount,Sinabung and Mount of Merapi. M aybe you should visit my country to see the many active mountains here. Have a nice day, sir.

Ok, jokes aside, that must be a really amazing place. I've never seen a volcano in real life, only in TV. My country has a sea, many mountains, many plains, but not volcanoes, which are a blessing from touristic point of view and agricultural if it's not active. Otherwise it's a pain. However, I'd like to see one and the closest to me would be Italy, a country that I admire a lot.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to some amazing photos if you manage to get there. 

I think the list of places I don't want to go is shorter than the ones I do ;-) .    Would love to spend some time on the big island.  Might have to sail there in a couple of years.

It sux for us all and I just wanted to freely travel around Australia this year and can't even do that let alone travel overseas like you want.

But as far as travel goes, I wouldn't want to travel to see molten lava.
Instead I would love to see mountains, forest, greenery and maybe a little bit of snow.
Sea, rivers and waterfalls are okay, but they get boring after a while.
But every time I am near mountains, I am in a better mood. I feel joy.

On my wish list to travel is Canada. I love that country. In fact, I was about to move there if Covid-19 didn't happened.

Every time I see pics of it's mountains, forests, lakes, I just love it.

I have poked around in some lava tubes at Craters of the Moon in Idaho and they are pretty spectacular.

We also want to see the lava on the big island of Hawaii. We have been to Oahu and enjoyed the sights there but the flowing lava would be something to see.

Me I wouldn’t want to see that. Well I kind of do but I don’t know if I’d be able to tolerate the smell and then I’d probably run away anyway not necessarily due to fear but because that much pent up energy will probably send me hyper 😅

Your appetite may never be sated. From occasionally reading travel posts I’m pretty sure it’s another type of addiction/greed and the more you get the more you want and the withdrawal symptoms are “itchy feet” 🤣

A decade or so so J and I had a list of places we were going to see when we had enough money to travel around the world. They got more expensive when we started popping out kids and got pets and now we’re both boring and happy to stay home (also planning trips is stressful and irritating rather than exciting and energising for us even when it’s somewhere we want to go). 

Middle child wants to go to Bali (because her friends have been and she feels like she’s missing out) and Japan (because she’s a weab). 

That would be cool to see. Always wanted to go to Hawaii and would you believe turned 2 jobs down there over the years. One on Kona at a dive shop and another helping start a strip club up ( long story)

I had never thought that seeing a lava lake and an erupting volcano could be such an interesting and beautiful experience as you describe in the post.

You definitely made me want to go to one of these places in the world. 

I've been to resting craters with no volcanic activity that are called support lakes. In the country of Nicaragua this view is impressive, because you don't know where the sky begins and where the water ends.

I have many places that I would like to see, touch and smell before I leave this world. 

Maybe going to Machupichu is at the top of my list.
