En navidades estuve en casa de mis suegros, en el interior del país, especificamente en un pueblo llamado "La Negra", en el estado Guárico, zona perteneciente a los llanos venezolanos. Mis suegros, aunque están separados, se siguen llevando bien y tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar la casa de mi suegro que está, lo que llamamamos en Venezuela, "llano adentro". Tiene una casa muy humilde y a su alrededor sembradíos de frijol, maíz amarillo, caraota, topochos, tomate. 

En un primer viaje a su casa, recogimos, pelamos y molimos maíz para hacer cachapas. Y en una segunda visita cosechamos frijoles rojos o frijol bayo, como se le conoce también en nuestro país. 

En este video me verán en "vivo y directo", tal cual me grabé, tomando las vainas de la mata y explicando brevemente cómo reconocer cuando una vaina está en su punto para retirarla. 

Espero esta miniclase de "botánica frijolera" les guste.
