Well tomorrow is the great solar eclipse day, here in Honduras we will only be able to see a partial eclipse, so most of the fun will be in the USA. I have managed to see about 5 or 6 solar eclipses during my life, the first one was a nearly total eclipse of the sun in March of 1970 I was 8 years old and I remember people were told not to look directly at it or they would go blind, I didn't look at it, I can still see, not so good by now I am farsighted but I didn't look directly at that eclipse.

It does get kind of scary, well if you happen to be a kid because it seems that it's night during the daytime, come to think of it could this be the day of darkness people have been talking about for so long? Come on, I'm kidding, we have had eclipses always, since the moon the sun and the earth have existed, I wonder how the flat earth theorists explain eclipses?

Of course, here in Honduras we might not be able to see the partial eclipse, I believe by that time whatever remains of tropical storm Harvey, whether it keeps downgrading or becomes stronger will be upon us, so I doubt we will have clear skies, if we do have clear skies I will try to take a few pictures of the eclipse and see how they look against the host of pictures I expect will be posted by people from the US.
