My application:

I would like to become a Curie curator because I am aligned with the values that Curie seeks to promote. I also believe that it is important to reward authors who post quality articles on this platform. Steemit arguably falls short of this, so it is up to forward thinking initiatives and individuals to find those authors and reward them for their contributions. I am personally of the opinion that this is how Steemit will grow, and I would very much like to get involved. I am very engaged with the community and regularly come across posts that deserve more than the few cents that I can sadly only offer them. I would like to join curie so that I can be in a better position to reward these individuals, and simultaneously, contribute to the growth and success of the Steemit platform.

I am the best candidate for this role because of my background. Outside of Steemit, I am a Law undergraduate student at a top 10 university in the United Kingdom. My background demands that I am well versed with essays and similar things of that nature. I am confident that I will be able to apply the skills gained from my background, to the Steemit platform. My background also enables me to identify posts of a high quality, whether it be by content, citations, sentence structures or spelling and grammar.

@geekgirl, i would like to be curator. I belong to a community and i will like to see my community grow, remain strong and active on steemit. I also like the reward too. I have gotten quite a number of upvote from curie on my blog too. I really like what curie is doing to encourage new steemit accounts to stay and  be active. Curie has been a source of motivation to me personally.

**The proof of abilities is results.**

I was one of the founding curators part of @ocd (Operation Curation Delegation) and just recently left and am a free agent.  I wrote the first week of the OCD Daily Compilation posts, which described 6-8 nominated content a day.  I was a curator for @ocd until a few days ago so I am familiar with the curation process of having specific guidelines that submissions and authors must meet.

Also, if you look at my resteems you see a a great amount of quality resteems of articles from newcomers to Steemit and under-appreciated, quality content producing Steemians.

Also, I missed two daily nominations out of 30+ daily nominations possible.  28/30 is consistent, quality results. 

This is what I will bring to Curie as a new curator.  I will bring hard work, consistency, and quality results for as long as y'all will have me.  You can ask @acidyo for a curation reference, he knows all about how hard I work and what I can do for a curation team.

Hello, I hope you will find good curators for Curie. My experience was: first link was accepted, next week I tried an undervalued art post, it got rejected by the curator but he/she accepted 3 recipes during 2 hours while I was checking. I am not complaining but probably that was a foodie day...

I'm already a curator in curie but I may need mentorship. Anything you can help me with that?

Curation groups like Curie is what makes a content-based blog platform like Steemit great. I completely respect what you are doing. I think I have an idea of how many hours of dedicated curation go into checking blogs from new and upcoming authors. Curation might be the single most important aspect of this platform, I think. If we want Steemit to succeed, as a community we must promote great content to make it easily visible. 

It's so easy for great new authors to become frustrated with the fact that on your own, it's extremely tough to attain some visibility. I know I am biased and I know not all of my posts were all great, but I still feel proud of some of the posts I did. I try to enhance visibility by using these paid upvote-boosting services. But then, getting 80 upvotes but only 10 pageviews is not encouraging either.

Since I'm dutch I tend to be a little critical as well. So I also think that Curie might always be struggling to find enough dedicated curators that can work according to the strict Curie requirements for quality. Those strict rules can feel a little elitarian to the rest of the community. But I do think you are really doing a amazing and respectful job.

I would like to see more initiatives like Curie. With a similar goal, i.e. finding great content and promote it, but maybe with a little different focus and slightly different rules. How great would it be, if next to the 'home', 'new', hot', 'trending' and 'promoted' tabs, there would be a 'curation' page where different curating groups would have a spot to promote original and new blog posts?

One reason I would make a good curator is that I have lots of time. I'm also interested in curating a very important topic that does not have a hashtag and have been helping informally another trail curator (I will discuss this with you if I qualify for interview). I would like to be a curator because i invited many student to join steemit, i told them to create good content, sometime they feel bored when they have created a good content but they dont get better reward, my purpose to join curie to propose their best content to curie to make them spirit for creating content by getting more reward of their content, therefore, they can tell their friend to join steemit and compete to create best content depend on their skill.

<p>The curie community and it's current curators are doing very great to see that all  good and great content creators are sponsored and encouraged to do more in the steemit community.</p>
<p>I am applying for mentorship to be a curie curator, reason been that i 
 love to help the less privileged content creator who are new and just getting to know more about the community. </p>

I want to be a curator because I like to read and review articles. I have experience in this as well. For few years, I was working as a researcher and I was reviewing articles for journals, such as 'drug and alcohol dependence', nicotine and tobacco research' and few others. I have also published my own research which is available online. So I had been working as a researcher and a reviewer. So I think, I will definitely enjoy my role as a curator in Steemit, and I will hopefully do well.

Nice to see the first one. Thanks @geekgirl for bringing this system for selecting new curators. :)

However, as this is the first trial, wishing you all the best. Alsi recommending a person as a new curator is also risky to the recommender herself/himself, if the selected curator doesn't work good.
