Colobot: Gold Edition is a fun real-time strategy game that motivates thinking and learning to code. Players fly to different planets and colonize them with their robots. They get to build and program their own robots and fight aliens. 

While coding part of the game is not required and players can just play without it, I find this aspect of the game more interesting. Players can program their own robots using a programming language called CBOT that is similar to popular languages like C++ and Java.

I think this is a great tool for coding students to learn algorithms and common concepts of programming and practice coding in a fun way. Teachers can also utilize this game in their teaching methodologies.

Colobot: Gold Edition is an open source project and source code is availabe on [github](https://github.com/colobot).

Amazing open source project.  The graphics suck. But those things can be improved later. It's great to be doing 2 things at the same time. The game also rewards real world skills by allowing these customizations/building your own robots. Thanks for  great Hunt ☺

I like this project play & learn how to code in the same time, just perfect.  It worth to try it, I'm going to download it just to see the language**CBOT** (said similar to C++ and Java). **Someone already try it ?**.
