***"My king, it is a baby boy"***, the traditional doctor announced the arrival of the newborn prince.

King Adeyinka jumped out of his chair where he had been praying to the gods about the queen's delivery. 
The Queen's condition gave the whole kingdom concern because she couldn't have a baby until she was 50 years of age.

The King placed his hands on his head and thanked his creator as he rushed to the delivery room opposite the Queen's chambers. He was about to barge into the room when he heard two newborn voices crying.

***"This can't be possible"*** the King said with a trembling voice, he paused at the entrance and immediately the nurses gathered and knelt.

***"How did this happen? Why have the gods decided to do this to me?"***, the king screamed while staring at the set of twins the nurses were carrying.

***"My Lord, may I speak?"*** one of the nurses asked and the King gave consent.

She continued, ***"It is a mystery to us my King, we thought it was one until the second child popped out. This is an abomination, forgive us for not knowing earlier."***.

The King checked his wife's condition and left the place with a mixed feeling of happiness and sadness.

He got back to the palace and met a few of his chiefs already waiting for him. They congratulated him and didn't let him sit before reminding him that having twins is an abomination, one of the kids must be sacrificed to the gods.

The King didn't utter a word, he kept staring at the chief until they all left in anger because they thought the King might want to protect his twins.

Later that night, the king called the priest and requested that divination should be made to know the future of both kids so he can make up his mind I which one to keep alive.

The Priest arrived and the kids were marked before the divination. None of the procedures pleased the Queen, she was angry but didn't have a choice. It was a must that they followed the tradition.

One of the children got the staff of authority mark while the other got the sword mark. The Priest said the baby with the mark of the staff would become the King in the future, he has a beautiful destiny while the girl with the sword mark had a terrible destiny, he said her path is filled with darkness and no good will come out of it.

The Queen left for her chamber in tears, she wasn't ready to lose any of the twins. The divination was completed and the king ordered that the baby girl be taken away immediately, he went into his chamber after everything to cry. He wished he could reverse the law but he has enforced it on people and he couldn't condemn the act when it was his turn.


The Palace securities were told to go carry out the rite in the heart of the forest and they set out immediately.

On getting to the forest, they met with a hunter who requested that they sold the baby to him. They turned him down initially but ended up agreeing to sell the baby girl on the condition that she must never set her feet in their kingdom again.

The hunter agreed and the trade was successful, the hunter returned home to bless his wife with what they have been begging God for all their lives.

 The King and the Queen were bitter all through the night about the little girl but there was joy in the kingdom because the King finally got an heir to the throne.

Odeyemi the hunter after a few days, went into the village to learn the story about the baby girl and he knew a lot was at risk if her identity was exposed.

He made up his mind to raise her as a warrior so that she will be able to protect herself when she is grown. She was named Ebuoludumare (Gift of God), the little girl was raised in the forest and she grew to be a brave, beautiful, and intelligent girl.

Meanwhile, her twin brother was named Adewale. He lived in the palace and was raised as a future King, he had everything he wanted at his disposal, and the joy of seeing him grow made the King confident that he is passing over the kingdom to someone who will lead as expected.

The twin grew up in a different world and while Adewale was enjoying luxury, Ebunolodumare was craving exploration. Odeyemi taught her to be a great and skilled fighter, she was fearless. Ebun has taken on animals even her father won't dare to attack and she was famous among the warriors in the world.

She decided to join a trade group and she learned a lot about the other kingdom, their tradition, and culture. Ebun was admired wherever she finds herself, she is the only female warrior people have seen in the last century.

Adewale became a spoilt brat and at some point, the wealth and authority bestowed upon him got into his head.

 He became so reckless and doesn't care about anyone in the kingdom. His parents never took the time to correct him since the divination they did in the past said his destiny was perfect.

He went on causing trouble in the kingdom and he was pardoned for being of royal blood. It got to an extent that a rumor went around the villages that the wrong child was killed because Adewale's lifestyle was terrible.

While they were preparing for Adewale's twentieth birthday celebration at the palace, the queen had a quick nap and had a dream. She saw Adewale in shackles and it was terrifying.

She told the King as soon as she woke up and the priest was invited immediately. The old man came staggering and after everything, he said the gods aren't saying anything which means it was just an ordinary dream.

The King was relieved but the Queen wasn't and she ordered extra bodyguards for the Prince because she thought someone might be planning to hurt the prince. The celebration came and it was huge, people from different kingdoms came to facilitate with the king.

Ebun was with the trade group that supplied some of the party's needs, she wishes her parents were blessed with so many riches as well. She had fun and kept some wine for her father since she was returning home that day.

Ebun was about to leave when she noticed some strange movement in the palace. She grabbed her sword and tiptoed in the direction of the movement.

She got there and saw blood stains on the prince and some of the guys there, they were digging the ground at the end of the palace. There was a lifeless body laying on the ground and she didn't understand the scene.

She thought the Prince was the victim so she attacked the others and injured them all. Ebun was trying to seek help, but the Prince attacked her and injured her in the arm. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't skilled enough to duel with Ebun. She took him down and called for help, people soon gathered and Adewale's secret was exposed.

He was trying to caress the deceased Princess when he invited her to his chamber while the party was on. He didn't know she was a princess and he smashed something on her because she resisted. It wasn't the first time but karma caught up with him on this one.

The father of the deceased Princess was a mighty king, he was angry his daughter disobeyed him because he warned her not to attend the birthday. Adewale would have known she was a princess if she didn't sneak out with her maids to attend the birthday.

Adewale was hidden by his parents but the kings of the six remaining mighty kingdoms which his father was the seventh requested that he must be punished. War threats started coming and they had no choice but to surrender him.

They were in darkness again and didn't know they will end up without an heir.

Odewale heard the news and called Ebun for a discussion, he revealed everything about how he got her.

She was really angry and promise to take revenge on the king but Odewale calmed her down. They embarked on a trip to the palace to meet the king but couldn't meet with the King because he was grieving for his son who was sent into exile.

Odewale then told the guards to tell the king that he has the daughter with the sword mark and they did as he said. The king rushed out of his chamber to meet with them, he took them in and invited the chiefs to inform them about what happened. 

Everyone was shocked and the sword mark they saw on Ebun sparked several issues.

The kingdom didn't accept her because she was supposed to be dead but they accepted her after Ebun conquered the war the seven kingdoms have been struggling with for decades.

King Adeyinka grew old and Ebun became the first female king in the seven kingdoms. She banned the killing of twins and put an end to the destiny divination thing.

At an event she was invited to with the other kings, she address the guest from the seven kingdoms when called to bless them.

She said, "***you all are the author of your destiny and you won't be the great person the divination says you will be if you don't do anything to make the prophecies happen.***

***I was condemned to death but here I am today. You are the author of your destiny and only you can make it great or worse***".
