Ya mama me dijo que pronto entraré en la adolescencia, eso me tiene preocupado porque parece ser que debo dejar la manada y yo no quiero eso. Me encanta estar con mamá, estar con mis hermanas y hermanitos al igual que con mis amiguitos. 

Desde que llegué a este planeta me he divertido un montón, he aprendido mucho, sobre todo a cruzar ríos muy caudalosos. Recuerdo que en una oportunidad el rio grandote casi que me lleva quien sabe a dónde y fue mi hermano mayor que ya no está con nosotros quien me ayudo a salir; esa fue una experiencia inolvidable por el terror que viví y por la hazaña heroica de mi hermano.

Recuerdo también un verano en que se me enseñó los lazos familiares de la manada. El compañerismo es fundamental en la misma, es un amor inmenso. Yo estando muy pequeño el sol y el calor eran inclemente y había escases de agua. Hubo un momento en que sentía que no podría, el sol quemaba mi piel. Busqué protegerme del sol debajo de mamá pero ella también sufría y si se detenía también se vería en aprietos.
De repente vi como todos se unieron y han creado con sus grandes tamaños una sombra que me ayudaba a refrescarme y así continuar rumbo a riachuelo que se encontraba cerca.

Todas esas cosas ricas de la manada se iban acabar porque al llegar a mi adolescencia debía partir para así comenzar mi nueva vida, unirme con otros machos, aprender muchas más cosas y reproducirme; eso decían todos.

Pero yo me quiero quedar con mamá, yo quiero cumplir un sueño y sé que solo mi madre podrá consentirme en eso. No creo que papá me vaya apoyar y mi hermano que si lo sabe desde un principio me dijo que estaba loco, que eso no eran cosas de los elefantes.

Toda mi vida he querido pertenecer al mundo de las tablas y mi hermano me decía que lo más cerca que me iba a ver de una tabla seria los árboles que algún día tumbaré para buscar alimentos; ese hermano mío si era cómico.
Yo me refería al teatro, al mundo del cine y es más me imagino como un bailarín danzando melodías muy conocidas. 

¿Por qué los cisnes son los únicos que pueden estar presentes en una obra de ballet?

¿Por qué los elefantes no podemos dar esos saltos hermosos?

Mi hermano era muy duro como mi papá, yo en cambio soy muy dulce como mamá. Mi hermano me regañaba cuando le decía que algún día me pondría una malla como las de un bailarín famoso y el me respondía que jamás conseguiría una malla que aguantara las inmensas patas de elefante y mucho menos tapara ese enorme rabo.

Como sea, mi sueño se hará realidad y lograré ser feliz para brindar felicidad a los que me rodean.

Y así pasaron los años y nuestro muchacho logro su objetivo, protagonizó una película en Bollywood en donde bailo hasta más no poder. Lamentablemente, no consiguió jamás una malla de bailarín, sino que tuvo que usar un pijama que le regalaron.

Su padre vio la película y dijo:

> Mildred como que me echó una vaina, ese muchacho parece asiático, no tiene nada mío, no es grande como yo, tiene las orejas más pequeñas y de paso me salió artista. Aunque pensándolo bien, tiene algo mío; es terco, tiene constancia y es leal; me encanta.

Nunca debemos dejar de perseguir nuestros sueños y la familia siempre debe ser muy importante en nuestras vidas.

Mom already told me that I will soon enter adolescence, that has me worried because it seems that I have to leave the herd and I don't want that. I love being with my mom, being with my sisters and brothers as well as my friends.

 Since I arrived on this planet I've had a lot of fun, I've learned a lot, especially how to cross very fast-flowing rivers. I remember that on one occasion the big river almost took me who knows where and it was my older brother who is no longer with us who helped me to get out; that was an unforgettable experience of the terror I lived and for the heroic feat of my brother.

I also remember one summer when I was taught about the family ties of the pack. Companionship is fundamental in it, it is an immense love. When I was very young, the sun and the heat were inclement and there was a shortage of water. There was a moment when I felt I couldn't, the sun was burning my skin. I sought to protect myself from the sun under mom but she was suffering too and if she stopped she would be in trouble too.
Suddenly I saw how they all joined together and created with their large sizes a shadow that helped me to cool down and continue towards the stream that was nearby.

All those rich things in the herd were going to end because when I reached my adolescence I had to leave in order to start my new life, join other males, learn many more things and reproduce; that's what everyone said.

But I want to stay with my mother, I want to fulfill a dream and I know that only my mother will be able to consent to me that. I don't think my father will support me and my brother, who knows from the beginning, told me I was crazy, that this was not elephant stuff.

All my life I have wanted to belong to the world of the stage and my brother used to tell me that the closest I would get to a stage would be the trees that one day I would cut down to look for food; that brother of mine was a comedian.
I was referring to the theater, to the world of cinema and I even imagine myself as a dancer dancing to well-known melodies. 

Why are swans the only ones that can be present in a ballet work?

Why can't we elephants make those beautiful leaps?

My brother was very tough like my dad, but I am very sweet like my mom. My brother scolded me when I told him that someday I would wear a leotard like those of a famous dancer and he replied that he would never get a leotard that would hold the huge elephant legs, let alone cover that huge tail.

However, my dream will come true and I will be happy to bring happiness to those around me.

And so the years went by and our boy achieved his goal, he starred in a Bollywood movie where he danced to his heart's content. Unfortunately, he never got a dancer's leotard but had to wear pajamas that were given to him as a gift.
