Hoy les traigo un tema del Maestro Simón Díaz, compositor y humorista, siendo un ícono en la Historia de la Música Tradicional y Popular de Venezuela, se dedicó durante toda su vida a brindarnos lo mejor de su música, Simón Díaz nació el 8 de agosto de 1928 en Barbacoas, Estado Aragua. Desde muy pequeño fue impulsado por su Padre a incursionar en el mundo de la música, inicia con la ejecución del Cuatro Venezolano, posteriormente se dedica a crear canciones, entre las más destacadas le dio vida a la Tonada, típica de los Llanos Venezolanos. El Maestro Díaz, llamado popularmente como el tío Simón, se cría desde muy niño en contacto con el ganado, envuelto en un ambiente de manifestaciones tradicionales que lo hacen acreedor de un gran reconocimiento a nivel nacional e internacional, una de sus grandes versiones Caballo Viejo. En el año 1949 viaja a Caracas, luego de la muerte de su Padre, inicia estudios en la Escuela Superior de Música José Ángel Lamas, posteriormente ingresa al mundo de los medios de comunicación, incursionando en la Radio y la Televisión. Simón Díaz mantuvo durante muchos años la difusión y preservación de la Tonada de ordeño hecha canción a través de su versación, dentro de las más resaltantes podemos nombrar las siguientes: Tonada de Luna Llena, Tonada de las Espigas, El Loco Juan Carabina, La Tonada del Cabestrero, entre otras.
