<Saludos a mi gente de Hive y Discord, hoy les traigo una muestra del género Punto Cruzao, Carúpano, Edo. Sucre.  En el trabajo de difusión y proyección de nuestra música tradicional venezolana, comparto el link del video publicado en youtube recientemente.  La grabación la hice junto a la Maestra Milagros Figuera (Multi instrumentista, Maestra Honoraria – UNEARTE, ejecutante de las Bandolas de Venezuela) con la cual tengo la dicha de compartir escenarios a nivel nacional e internacional durante más de treinta años de vida artística en defensa de nuestra cultura. 

El 30 mayo del presente año, nos reunimos en @delacasagourmet, ubicada en Caracas, mediante la invitación del Sr. Alvaro Mogollón, dueño del establecimiento, pensamos en una nueva forma de dar a conocer nuestra diversidad musical, utilizando todos los contextos posibles para mantener y preservar nuestra identidad, así mismo, enaltecer a nuestros cultores, cultoras y que se reconozcan en el mundo entero.  

Uno de los cultores dedicados a la investigación y ejecutante de la Bandola oriental es el Maestro José Gregorio "Gollo"  Enis, nacido en Cumaná - Edo. Sucre, a través de una muestra didáctica, comenta lo siguiente:    "...en el Estado Sucre, se origina el punto por tradición oral para cantar a la Cruz de Mayo, al mismo tiempo, se conocen otros Puntos que podemos mencionar como el Punto Cruzao,  Punto de Fulía, Punto del Marino, Puntillanto, eran cantos que se interpretaban a capela y posteriormente con la llegada de los españoles, el laúd y la décima espinela, se cantaba solo con  Bandola y Buche, así se le llamaba anteriormente a la voz solista junto a la bandola..."

Desde mi experiencia, el punto cruzao, es uno de los géneros más complejos en la forma de interpretar, existe una disociación entre la voz solista, la bandola y el cuatro,  luego coinciden en el ritmo ternario, que va cambiando de tonalidad menor a mayor.  Asimismo, existen versiones que se interpretan por grupos de proyección en diversos eventos en el transcurso del año, siendo necesario para conservarlo, ya que está en peligro de extinción dicho por muchos músicos en la región. 

La Maestra Juana Gómez  (oriunda del Estado Sucre), Cantora, Cultora, Decimista y Bailadora de las buenas, deja un gran legado junto al Maestro Epifanio Rodríguez, excelente exponente de la bandola oriental, ambos dedicaron parte de su vida a la  conservación de géneros como el Punto de Velorio, Malagueñas, Jotas, entre otros.   Estas décimas cantadas las dio a conocer la Maestra Juana, reflejan la transición de la vida a la muerte, la entrega de todo lo vivido en estos espacios terrenales para trascender a Dios,  haciendo una especie de rinde de cuentas.  (Se puede apreciar mediante el texto en el video inicial)  

Asimismo, en el presente documento dejo testimonio de algunas fotos de la Maestra Juana Gómez, Epifanio Rodríguez, Milagros Figuera, entre otros, realmente son una reliquia que en una oportunidad me las obsequió el Maestro Alfonso Sandoval tomadas en los viajes de investigación que realizó con su hijo el Maestro Ricardo Sandoval, quien ha dedicado parte de su vida a la proyección de la música  tradicional venezolana, siendo uno de los músicos más estudiosos en la ejecución de la Bandola oriental en Venezuela, extendiendo nuestro folclor a Europa y otros países del mundo.

El Maestro Ricardo Sandoval, estuvo muy cerca de los  Maestros Juana Gómez y Epifanio Rodríguez, compartiendo momentos importantes a nivel musical y parte del aprendizaje obtenido lo pude vivenciar en el año 1991 estando en la Agrupación Folclórica CONVENEZUELA y el Grupo Maizal  (ambos dirigidos por Sandoval), donde parte del repertorio era el Punto de Velorio y toda la riqueza que encierra la música oriental.  Hoy por hoy nos corresponde transmitirlo de generación en generación, crear multiplicadores y continuar proyectando El Punto en esencia.
En conclusión, es importante mantener, cuidar y preservar el Punto Cruzao como parte de nuestro patrimonio cultural intangible y así, continuar la labor de visibilizar a nuestros cultores y cultoras, fortaleciendo la identidad como venezolanos.

<Greetings to my Hive and Discord people, today I bring you a sample of the Punto Cruzao, Carúpano, Edo genre. Sucre. In the work of dissemination and projection of our traditional Venezuelan music, I share the link of the video recently published on YouTube. The recording was made together with Maestra Milagros Figuera (Multi instrumentalist, Honorary Teacher - UNEARTE, performer of the Bandolas de Venezuela) with whom I have the joy of sharing national and international stages for more than thirty years of artistic life in defense of our culture.

On May 30 of this year, we met at @delacasagourmet, located in Caracas, at the invitation of Mr. Alvaro Mogollón, owner of the establishment, we thought of a new way of making our musical diversity known, using all possible contexts to maintain and preserve our identity, likewise, exalt our male and female men and women who are recognized throughout the world.

From my experience, the cruzao point is one of the most complex genres in the way of interpreting, there is a dissociation between the solo voice, the bandola and the cuatro, then they coincide in the ternary rhythm, which changes from minor to major tonality. . Likewise, there are versions that are performed by projection groups at various events throughout the year, being necessary to preserve it, since it is in danger of extinction, said by many musicians in the region.

Master Juana Gómez (a native of Sucre State), Singer, Cultist, Decimista and Dancer of the good, leaves a great legacy with Maestro Epifanio Rodríguez, an excellent exponent of the eastern band, both dedicated part of their lives to the conservation of genres such as Punto de Velorio, Malagueñas, Jotas, among others. These sung tenths were made known by Master Juana, they reflect the transition from life to death, the surrender of everything lived in these earthly spaces to transcend God, making a kind of accountability. The Maestro Ricardo Sandoval, was very close to the Maestros Juana Gómez and Epifanio Rodríguez, sharing important moments on a musical level and part of the learning obtained I was able to experience in 1991 while being in the CONVENEZUELA Folkloric Group and the Maizal Group (both directed by Sandoval), where part of the repertoire was the Punto de Velorio and all the wealth that oriental music contains. Today it is up to us to transmit it from generation to generation, create multipliers and continue projecting The Point in essence.


In conclusion, it is important to maintain, care for and preserve the Cruzao Point as part of our intangible cultural heritage and thus, continue the work of making our male and female men and women visible, strengthening their identity as Venezuelans.
