# Turmeric:

It's a plant whose scientific name is Turmeric Longa. The rhizome is its edible part, it is very branched and orange in color. Widely used in the culinary arts.

It has a characteristic color and flavor. It's one of the well-known components of curry. It's a strong dye both for dyeing fabrics and for use in the kitchen. In rice, meat, fish and seafood.

Its beneficial health properties make it a widely requested rhizome on the market today. Its beneficial effect has been proven in cancer, arthritis, diabetes and other diseases.

La cúrcuma:

Es una planta cuyo nombre científico es la Cúrcuma Longa. El rizoma es su parte comestible, es muy ramificado y de color anaranjado. Muy utilizado en el arte culinario. 

Tiene un color y sabor característico. Es uno de los componente del curry muy conocido. Es un colorante fuerte tanto para teñir telas, como para uso en la cocina. En el arroz, las carnes, pescados y mariscos.

Sus propiedades benéficas en la salud lo hacen en la actualidad un rizoma solicitado ampliamente en el mercado. Se ha comprobado su efecto benéfico en el cáncer, artritis, diábetes y otras enfermedades.

I like to plant it and then harvest it. To then preserve its freshness by adding oil and liquefying the rhizome in small cuts. In order to not affect the operation of the blender.

These are from my garden. I remove them under the plant, in the dirt. I wash them and remove the rest of the small roots. I remove its skin, scraping with a teaspoon and it's ready to cut.

Me gusta sembrar la planta y la cosecho. Para luego preservar su frescura agregándole aceite y licuando el rizoma en pequeños cortes. Para no afectar el funcionamiento de la licuadora.

Estas son de mi huerta. Las retiro debajo de la planta, en la tierra. Las lavo y retiro el resto de raíces pequeñas. Retiro su piel, raspando con una cucharilla y queda lista para cortar.

# What is it about?
It's a weekly contest, starts on Friday and ends on Thursday afternoon. To start again on Friday.

Es un concurso semanal, comienza el viernes y termina el jueves por la tarde. Para comenzar de nuevo el viernes.
