### 1. When a number ending in zeros is divided by another number, divide without using the zeros.  Place the unused zeros to the right of the quotient:

### 2. Divide by a 1-digit number: 1-digit with remainder:
   When a dividend is not visible by the divisor, the product of the quotient and the divisor should be as close as possible, but less than, the dividend.

### 3. Divide by a 1-digit number with a 2-digit quotient and NO remainder:

### 4. Divide by a 1-digit number with a 2-digit quotient and a remainder:

### 5. Divide a 3-digit multiple of 10 by a 1-digit number with no remainder.
   To divide a multiple of 10 by a 1-digit factor:
       1. Ignore as many zeros as possible
       2. Divide using the first and/or the second digit in the number.
       3. Place the unused zeros to the right of the quotient.

### 6. Solve a word problem with the key word altogether:
      Step 1: Read the problem carefully
      Step 2: Analyze the problem
      Step 3: Solve for any unknown number
      Step 4: Interpret the result
      Step 5: Check your answer
