The gestation period for the Aayala was a little bit shorter than for humans but no one knew how this pregnancy would play out. </p> <p>Jeff became fond of Lila, and he promised her the recognition she deserved for taking part in this experiment. Lila did not give much attention to what he was saying because she knew that Jeff was never even going to see this baby. This whole experiment was unlawful and in some way Lila felt sorry for Jeff, because she knew all his dreams were going to be shattered as soon as the ship arrived. </p> <p>Her body was basically just used as an incubator, but she had a far stronger connection to the baby than anyone could even begin to understand.</p> <p>About two weeks later Jack did not show up for his nightly duties. Lila was worried sick and tried to sleep but she knew he wouldn’t just abandon her. She fell asleep feeling more tired than usual and was awoken in the early hours of the morning by a familiar smell. She turned her head and started crying when she saw her mother standing next to her bed. </p> <p>“Where is Jack?” Lila asked without hesitation. </p> <p>“Don’t worry, he is safe…Jeff and his colleagues were taken into custody earlier today but I had to get to you.”</p> <p>‘What’s going to happen to Jeff?”</p> <p>“Don’t you worry about him Lila. Will you be okay to travel now?”</p> <p>Lila nodded. She got out of bed and her mother helped her towards the door. Her father waited outside and Lila started crying the minute she laid eyes on him. He gave her a hug and then took her hand to lead her through the doors. </p> <p>Jack was waiting outside and she felt relieved to see him. Now she felt completely safe. </p> <p>They left through the back door not to attract any attention, and there was a blue van waiting for them outside. It was going to be a long trip but it was going to be so worth it. </p> <p>They all sat in the back of the van and Jack’s friend was driving. They put a mattress in the back for Lila to lie down and it was a bit uncomfortable, but this was the safest way to travel at this point. They drove for what felt like hours and finally reached their destination. </p> <p>It was still dark when they arrived and they were dropped off inside a warehouse. </p> <p>Jack was stunned when he turned around and saw the big spaceship in the warehouse. Nomad was overcome with tears when his own brother Nolan climbed out of the ship. They haven’t seen each other in years and it was a joyful meeting. Nomad introduced Lila to her uncle and Jack came forward to meet Nolan. </p> <p>They did not have time to waste and Nomad asked them all to get on board. </p> <p>Nala and Nomad looked proudly at Jack and Lila. It was inevitable that they would go into a relationship. They were the perfect couple. </p> <p>Nomad and Nala did not have any regrets about their time on earth, but it was finally time for them to go back to the Pleiades. </p> <p>They had done what they could here on earth, but it was impossible to change human nature. Humans were now finally going to pay the price for their greediness and soon there would be nothing left of the earth when the Aayala left. </p> <p>Jack felt nervous when he stepped onto the ship, but there was no way that he was going to let go of Lila again. The only thing that he was going to miss was his beer, but to be with Lila, would definitely make up for it. </p> <p>Jack was anxious, but was relieved when the door finally closed and everyone was safely on board. </p> <p>They were shown to their cabin for the three week trip. Jack felt exhausted and relieved all at the same time. He sat on his bunk and fell asleep with his head against the wall. He dreamt about the beautiful mountains of trees and waterfalls waiting for them on Pleiades.
