WHY THERE SHOULD BE ADDS ON STEAM!!

![dollar-sign-clipart.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmd4Pz4dh5SPUY69GLwFxQRYcbFdgMbLuAZydyu7FzmuV6/dollar-sign-clipart.jpg)Think about it , add companys would love to get there peice of the pie with steem users growing every day, if they had to buy steem to place the adds on steem, the price would grow drastically as demand would be less , adds for the user could be optional, and if accepted a small amount of steem payed..Something like the Basic Attention Token  (BAT) could also be implemented so adds are more targeted and engaging the viewer, not just spamy kind of adds... Just a thought, let me kno what your thoughts are on the possible implementation of optional adds, and if it would be beneficial or detrimental to the steem community ..

I think Ads would have to implemented very carefully as it's easily abused.
Perhaps a platform built upon a smart contract in which people can submit ads, and the community can vote/down-vote the adds to enable a curation process similar to how post curation is handled with steemit.  Also as you mention integrating BAT is something I think would be essential to making it work.

Thanks for your reply..Thats a valid point you raise, but i mean like maybe something on the side of the screens like facebook or what have you , but yes your ideas seem very sound, i like the vote down adds idea and yes BAT is a must or somthing along those lines..


I just think for a prosperous community adds are the only way to go in the long run to have a small stream of 3rd party income coming in, to peg steem to.. more then sbd , digital assests ,more users, speculative value ect holding the value as it makes it volatile..

Also inflation will lower the price of steem, less money =less users in a way, because traditional social media is already more popular even with adds..

 The main dragging point to steem is no censorship and the possiblity of getting paid..If the getting paid part goes to nothing i see steem loosing incentive to use , and many users going back to old traditional social media plattforms.. (reddit fb twitter ect.. just my two cents
