Diego Armando Maradona nacido en Argentina el 30 de octubre de 1960 y murió el 25 de noviembre de 2020, futbolista reconocido de talla internacionalmente, también llamado  como "El Pelusa" dentro del mundo del fútbol debido a su estatura y despeinada cabellera; fue uno de los mejores jugadores del siglo XX para la selección Argentina consolidando una brillante carrera dentro del deporte  debido a que no solo tuvo la dicha de jugar representando a su país, pues también lo goleó para la serie de Nápoles por siete temporadas , también formó parte del equipo de Sevilla como el de muchos otros logrando ganar el aprecio de un inmenso público deportivo.

Como todo ser humano comete errores, Maradona no fue la excepción  dando de qué hablar por el mundo entero cuando a sus 24 años de edad incursiona en el mundo de las drogas o que le causó muchos problemas en su carrera como deportista aunque en varias ocasiones intentó rehabilitarse  no lograba su objetivo, fueron muchos tratamientos los que abordó para detener la adicción. Toda esta situación le causó diferentes enfermedades como hipertensión, problemas respiratorios, y hasta crisis cardiacas. El Pelusa logró poner su nombre en muchos diarios del mundo debido a la debilidad que tenía por las drogas, esto no solo le ocasionó problemas se salud, también lo condujo a obtener problema con la prensa ya que en diversas ocasiones su mal comportamiento lo llevaran a agredir a los periodistas igualmente se vio sumergidos en problemas legales tales como; demandas por paternidad, acoso sexual, violencia de género; entre muchos otros.

Los diferentes premios obtenidos y su brillante carrera no fue impedimento para que Diego llevara una vida a su antojo dentro lo sus propias creencias y reglas, este fue capaz de criticar abiertamente al Vaticano especialmente al Papa Juan Pablo II, también dio a conocer su lado izquierdista políticamente hablando cuando sin titubeos muestra su apoyo incondicional al gobierno de Fidel castro dentro de Cuba y posteriormente a Hugo Chávez Frías en Venezuela, así mismo mostró cercanía con el actual presidente venezolano Nicolás Maduro Moros .
