Yesterday I had an interesting discussion in a telegram group of Axie Infinity in Venezuela, where I was saying the reason why I have not invested in other games besides Axie, and many of the things I said referred to the negative aspects of other games, such as not having important partnerships with large companies, not being registered in large exchanges, making changes extremely frequently (days), having less than 2 months since they were released and in addition to this, having a high cost of entry to the game.

As we see, these are logical things that we all should know in these games and even crypto projects before investing, but the reality is that much of what we see in social networks is pure FOMO, which certainly leads many new people to cryptos and this is a good thing, but we must also remember that cryptos are something free and not all people have good intentions, so there are many scammers in this world.

An important point that I defended, and that I would like to place in an article so that other people can see it, is that negative comments should also exist, and I do not mean comments with insults, but people who place the negative aspects of a project so that people can see them, and it is something dangerous to prohibit these negative comments, since it is the same as being in a dictatorship where everything is nice and nothing is bad.

Today I thank a friend who saw that I wanted to invest in Plants vs Undead and told me everything bad about that project, so that later I did more research and decided not to invest, and today I say that he was absolutely right because they have made decisions that have made investors lose a lot of money, and I could have been one of them if I saw only FOMO on social networks and nobody told me to be careful.

Part of doing our own research (aka DYOR) is about having the ability to get the negative of projects, and if there is not something negative that we can see (because they prohibit it being something that goes against FOMO), we are simply never going to get both sides of the coin and a lot of people are going to lose money, as happened in 2017, in 2018, in 2020, and in this 2021.

Even if we do not like it, the comments that go against the FOMO we have are something healthy, as they can make us see something that we have not been able to see, as we can also support other people to understand that cryptos are not a paradise and that there are thousands of ways to lose money in the online world, but this is achieved only when they exist and we are able to access that which is negative about the existing projects, and that we decide to enter in the future, it is already a decision of us, but we cannot say that we were misinformed in the beginning.

Ayer tuve una discusión interesante en un grupo de telegram de Axie Infinity en Venezuela, donde decía la razón por la que no he invertido en otros juegos además de Axie, y muchas de las cosas que dije se referían a los aspectos negativos de otros juegos, como no tener asociaciones importantes con grandes empresas, no estar registrados en exchanges grandes, hacer cambios de forma extremadamente frecuente (días), tener menos de 2 meses desde que salieron al mercado y además de esto, tener un alto costo de ingreso al juego.

Como vemos, son cosas lógicas que todos debemos sabes en estos juegos e incluso proyectos de cripto antes de invertir, pero la realidad es que mucho de lo que vemos en las redes sociales es FOMO puro, que ciertamente lleva a muchas personas nuevas a las criptos y esto es algo bueno, pero también debemos recordar que las criptos son algo libre y no todas las personas tienen buenas intenciones, por lo que hay muchos estafadores en este mundo.

Un punto importante que defendí, y que me gustaría colocar en un artículo para que otras personas lo puedan ver, es que los comentarios negativos también deben existir, y no me refiero a comentarios con insultos, sino a personas que colocan los aspectos negativos de un proyecto para que las personas las puedan ver, y es algo peligroso prohibir estos comentarios negativos, ya que es lo mismo que estar en una dictadura donde todo es bonito y nada es malo.

Hoy agradezco a un amigo que vio que quería invertir en Plants vs Undead y me dijo todo lo malo de ese proyecto, para que luego yo investigara más y decidiera no invertir, y hoy en día digo que él tenía toda la razón porque han tomado decisiones que han hecho perder mucho dinero a los inversores, y yo pude haber sido uno de ellos si veía solo FOMO en las redes sociales y nadie me decía que tuviera cuidado.

Parte de hacer nuestra propia investigación (también conocido como DYOR) se refiere a tener la posibilidad de conseguir lo negativo de los proyectos, y si no existe algo negativo que podamos ver (porque lo prohíben al ser algo que va en contra del FOMO), simplemente nunca vamos a tener los dos lados de la moneda y mucha gente va a perder dinero, como ocurrió en el 2017, en el 2018, en el 2020, y en este 2021.

Aunque no nos guste, los comentarios que van en contra del FOMO que tenemos son algo saludable, ya que pueden hacer que veamos algo que no hemos podido ver, como también podemos apoyar a otras personas a que entiendan que las criptos no son un paraíso y que hay miles de maneras de perder dinero en el mundo online, pero esto se consigue únicamente cuando existen y somos capaces de acceder a aquello que es negativo sobre los proyectos existentes, y que decidamos ingresar en el futuro, ya es una decisión de nosotros, pero no podemos decir que estuvimos mal informados en el inicio.
