 Good morning everyone, Let's take a step backwards and have some imaginations. What if some old practices are retained? What if ladies still have those old piercings and cuttings? What if women still desire to have long neck and short feet? What if these cultures are still widely embraced and modernized? From that imagination, I brought this drawing which I titled Ibironke (The lady of past and present) out. I imagined a beautiful lady with lovely makeup and afro hair who decided to have a mouth cutting with a mouth plate in it. The mouth plate is made of golden color and signs of crypto-currencies like Hive, Bitcoin and Ethereum. She maintained the old practices in a modern sophisticated way. Even though I know those stuffs has its disadvantages and it can't happen anymore (happens only in villages now), one could atleast imagine it. The drawing was done on Autodesk Sketchbook using mainly primary pencil on black background and the pattern I used was scribble. When I started the drawing, I wanted to give the lady a different hairstyle so I changed my mind along the way.
