Convenient shopping at the mall
Hello dear shoppers and market lovers, it's another #marketFriday by @dswigle , what do you plan to shop for? Or are you already back from the market? Whichever, I hope you all have fun in your various shopping experiences.

Today, I took my market Friday to the shopping mall, My chosen store is the **Jendol super store** which is one of the popular malls in my state of residence, Lagos state, Nigeria. would it interest you to know that I'm not a fan of mall shopping, I prefer going to the public market even though it can be inconvenient sometimes due to the scorching sun, a wide range of distance to cover that I get very exhausted at the end of the day, still I prefer the open space market as I always have the choice of bargaining for each item and mostly get a fair price at the end of the day, also it's easier to see the newly released product in the open market than the mall.

I wanted to do some quick shopping for some basic home needs, so my sister suggested we go to the mall, after taking time to convince me that the prices are similar and not more than what I would get from the market, and if there was going to be any difference it will be slightly, furthermore, she emphasized on not wandering around searching for what you want, as similar products are mostly categorized into different section. Since I wasn't buying much, I accepted, also making sure to have some extra cash just in case their prices goes beyond my budget.

I just moved into a new apartment and my home air freshener doesn't seem good enough to kill the freshly painted wall smell, it last for just a few minutes, it seemed they reduced its quality as the first few ones I got were quite good, so here I am shopping for a new product,  known as pure scent, the review I got from my sister was quite convincing and, to be frank, it smelled really nice flowery sort of though a bit pricey compared to my previous one, I got this for around $3 while my previous brand cost $2.5 which used to be about $2, the inflation keeps hitting us hard each day over here.

Next, body sprays, this one with a discount got my attention even though it might not be the best option, let's just give it a try, after all, there is no harm in trying, I got the active woman perfume for a little bit above $2 and also got its body spray, the promo worked.

My mum had requested for a black hair shampoo, so I went by the hair product section to look for the specific type she requested, which I got too, making sure to buy extras to last her for a while more, since she loves them so much.

I needed to get my favorite body wash/Shower gel, glad I found them arranged neatly at their specified section, the more exciting thing is I got it cheaper about 1% discount compared to the usual price I get them outside the open market.

At the toy section this beautiful Barbies got my attention and I couldn't resist getting one for my daughter, she absolutely adores it and keeps pestering me to make new dresses for her doll, now I got an extra job added haha.

I finished my shopping, getting a little extra important stuffs.

Time to pay up, so far, the prices are fair and not as expensive as I thought it would, which means I would be coming back when next I need a replacement of my basic beauty care products and other basic needs.

Thank you for being part of #MarketFriday this week! It is always such a pleasure to have you. As you can see, I am running more than late here this week. For this, I'm so sorry. While I have read your market post (I have read them all!) I had some unexpected surgery that has me unable to finish most of them. While I am fine, the swelling, bruising, and healing have slowed me just a bit. I'll be good soon. Quite miserable until then!  

I am happy to have read them all pf the posts and able to send out the upvotes. A partial win for me!
I truly appreciate all of the sharing of experiences and even more, when people visit others, starting a dialogue. This is what the vision of #MarketFriday was. The understanding for all. 

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can benefit a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you; it has been an amazing experience.  I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
