¡Feliz día, amigos! Voy a comenzar con una pequeña queja, pero es quisiera saber ¿por qué hay tantas películas de hace 5 o 10 años que son interesantes, y no las pasan por cable? Es decir, llevo años pagando intercable y nunca había visto la película de la que les voy a hablar a continuación y conchale me molesta 😅 Todos los días pasan las mismas, entre Harry Potter, Rápidos y furiosos, o Dónde están las rubias, habiendo tantas películas que mostrar.

En fin, vamos a echar un vistazo al año 2015 para complacernos de ver un film de suspenso que te va a dejar analizando por un rato la situación. Se trata de "The gift", así que comencemos...

Tenemos a una pareja exitosa a nivel profesional, que parecen estar en el mejor momento de sus vidas y con muchas ansias de dar el siguiente paso, tanto en lo personal como en lo laboral y eso está completamente bien. La cuestión se empieza a poner color de hormiga cuando aparece un tercero en la relación, y normalmente pensaríamos que es se trata de un viejo amor o alguien inesperado, pero no, creo que en este caso las cosas van un poco más allá.

Durante el desarrollo de la historia van a ir cambiando las teorías que desarrollas con las pistas que te dan, porque mantienen oculto hasta el último momento la razón exacta por la que toda la situación tuvo un desenlace tan triste. Pero vale la pena ver cómo se revela todo paso a paso.

La premisa en si de la historia es sobre las mentiras. Te deja expuesto sobre la mesa ¿Qué tanto conoces a tu pareja? ¿Qué tan diferente puede ser de ti? Pero les digo algo, tengo casi 7 años de relación y, aunque obviamente ninguno de los 2 nos vamos a conocer completamente jamás, hay cosas en nuestras actitudes y acciones que nos da una idea bastante clara de nuestros ideales, valores y forma de ser en general. Entonces, me parece que la protagonista tuvo que tener un mejor idea de qué tipo de persona era su marido. 
<br><br>
Al inicio la trama te hace señalar a la persona cuyas acciones son bastante fuera del comportamiento que llamamos "común", y justo como pasa aquí, pasa en la vida real. Siempre dudamos del "diferente", "inadaptado", "extraño", pero, ¿por qué nos creemos con el derecho de etiquetar a otros por simplemente proceder de manera diferente?

Siempre he pensado que lo que vivimos en nuestra infancia tiene un gran peso en cómo nos desarrollemos en la vida adulta, por eso, aquello que no sanamos se convertirá en nuestra piedra de tropiezo. Siempre van a existir personas que disfrutan hacer pasar malos ratos a otros, y casi nunca se detienen a pensar en las consecuencias de sus acciones en otras vidas. Por eso hay tantos niños y adolescentes abusadores, porque nadie les enseña que todas, absolutamente todas nuestras acciones tienen consecuencias y está en nosotros hacer que sean positivas o negativas. 
<br><br>
La película me dejó pensando en todas esas personas que no disfrutaron su época estudiantil, simplemente porque tuvieron la mala suerte de toparse con uno de estos desagradables seres. Y lo que es más triste, nunca han buscado ayuda profesional para sanar esas heridas y son presos de esos recuerdos.

En resumen, la historia está llena de momentos incómodos, de situaciones que al verlas dirán: ¿Cómo se le ocurre hacer eso? Jajaja... Es hasta cierto punto es frustrante, pero como dicen por ahí, todo tiene su razón de ser. Hay mentiras que te persiguen toda la vida y al no enfrentarlas te explotan en la cara. Y lo más importante, la vida te puede cambiar en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, tanto para bien, como para mal. Yo le doy 8/10 ⭐
