I have sent about 700 threads on Leothreads in the past month, and considering that I started using [Twitter](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-twitter) in October 2021 with 682 tweets, you can see how 700 is a big number (for me)! .... In sending many threads, I got to experience Leothreads and know what it's all about.

I'm a fan of the HIVE blog and love the platform, but I've also found it difficult to use at times, and I think Leothreads is one of the solutions to that problem.Before I write about the changes that Leothreads has brought to HIVE, I have to write about its " difficulty of use" (what I have found). However, please understand that I am not complaining about the current structure and culture of HIVE.

# Difficulties in using HIVE blog
We have been told since the Steemit days, "Let's improve the quality of our contents!" .

As far as I know, most of what is considered "quality content" in many communities is a large amount of both text and photos. Of course, the more words and photos/images, the more likely it is that there is a correspondingly greater amount of information packed into the post, and a lot of effort must have been put into completing the post. So I am not complaining about being rewarded more for such posts, nor am I saying that we should "change the criteria for [curation](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-curation-content)". Never...However, it was gradually becoming more and more difficult to casually post on HIVE. After all, as long as I post, I have to do my best to get a big upvote, which naturally leads me to aim for posts that are as informative as they are expected to be, with as much text and images as possible. I have tried my best to write posts that follow the rules of the community to which I am submitting and that are welcomed by the community.

But it is difficult to write a long post every time, and in fact, some days I don't have that much to write about. Still, when I do post, I have tried to write as long a post as possible. Sometimes I have increased the volume of content, not because I want to get paid, but because I don't want to be regarded as an account that writes cut-throat posts and be excluded from curation, including in the future...(Actually, I don't know how community curation works, so I don't know if there's a downside to making a casual post... just in case.)

So, at least for me, HIVE blog was no longer a very casual place to post. When I post, I wonder if the text is a little too short, or if I should add a few more pictures. I think about it every time I post.

Dbuzz is already available as a HIVE version of Twitter, and like Leothreads, it is an application that allows users to post short texts. However, I couldn't find the courage to use Dbuzz because it is treated as a POST when you post from Dbuzz. The fact that it is treated as a POST means that anything you post from Dbuzz will appear on your followers' timelines.

But with the unspoken rule of "one post a day is good" in HIVE, I was quite reluctant to put a large number of posts on the timeline in a single day.

# Freedom to post anything
I have always wished I could post more casually on HIVE. And I have always had a vague idea that it would be nice to be able to use the HIVE chain to post things that are not necessarily blog posts, but that I would like to write down, or knowledge that I would like to take notes on.
Thanks to the advent of Leothreads, I think these things are now possible.

Leofinance long form posts are limited to finance-related topics such as crypto, investments, economics, etc. Leothreads, on the other hand, has no theme restrictions and allows short-form posts of up to 240 characters per post on any subject. Also, posts on Leothreads are considered comments and will not appear on timelines such as the HIVE blog, PEAKD, or ecency (comments and replies can be viewed from other [front end](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-front-end)s by clicking on them).

Thus, Leothreads has created a safe and easy place to post anything in HIVE, where there is a tendency for long sentences to be good. I don't think it is a platform for earning money at the moment, but it does have the upvote feature. I think there will be many ways to use it in the future.

# Helping to deepen your knowledge of HIVE
Leothreads is both a micro "blog" platform and a tool for communication. It is currently undergoing a campaign and the threads are very active, probably due to the quest for the number of threads sent.

To my great delight, of course, everyone there was a HIVE user, and many of them had been using HIVE for a relatively long time and were familiar with the platform. I myself have been in HIVE for seven years, but there are still many things I don't understand... Or rather, I feel that the more I look into HIVE, the more new questions arise. Moreover, it is quite a painstaking task to find out the latest information on HIVE because the materials are not organized or updated.

However, through conversations on Leothreads since the campaign began, I have been able to resolve some questions I have had about Leofinance and HIVE on a regular basis.

Let me give you one example. I was recently researching how to create a new account using my [Resource Credits](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-resource-credits-rc). Normally it costs 3HIVE to create a new account by yourself, but you can do it for free by spending RCs. That much I knew too.

For some reason, the Claim button that used to appear on the PEAKD wallet screen a few months ago no longer appears. I couldn't figure out why that was and have been stumped for some time.

When I mentioned the matter on Leothreads, someone came forward to politely tell me about it. I found out that I probably still do not have enough HP, and that the previous time the Claim button was displayed was when I had 500 HP delegated to me, which was probably enough at that time. I was also told that the RC consumed for account creation is not always constant, but fluctuates, but aproximately 5,000 HP would be enough to claim the "Account Creation Token"! I was very surprised at how easily I was able to get information that I had not been able to find no matter how much I looked in past articles. This is something that would not have been possible with Twitter. I think the commonality of "being interested in HIVE" and being able to talk with them in real time are very powerful points.

I feel that now that I have a place where I can easily ask questions and seek advice about HIVE, it is easier than ever to absorb and deepen my knowledge of HIVE.

# Conclusion
These are the changes that I believe Leothreads has brought to HIVE.

There are still some small bugs and glitches that occur in Leothreads, and it doesn't move as quickly as Twitter. But that should be resolved soon, and I don't think it's a big problem.

I am so glad that we have a place where we can post freely and casually, which we could not do before, and where we can exchange information about the slightly geeky aspects of HIVE!

私はHIVEブログのファンでこのプラットフォームが好きですが、時々使いにくさを感じることがあったのも事実です。Leothreadsは、その解決策の一つになったと思います。Leothreadsがもたらした変化について書く前に、その「使いにくさ」（であると私が感じていた部分）について書かなければなりません。。といっても、現状のしくみや文化に対して文句を言いたいわけではありませんのでその点はご了承ください。

# 私が感じていたHIVEブログの「使いにくさ」
私たちはSteemit時代から「コンテンツの質を高めましょう！」と言われ続けてきました。

私が見る限り、多くのコミュニティで「良質な記事」と言われるものは、文字数、写真ともに量の多いものがほとんどです。もちろん、文字数や写真・画像が多ければ多いほど、それに比例して記事に詰まった情報量も多い可能性が高いですし、記事を完成させるまでに多くの労力を費やしているはずです。なので、そうした記事に多くの報酬が与えられることに不満があるわけではありませんし、「キュレーションの基準を変えて欲しい」と言いたいわけでもありません。

そうではないのですが、ただそこに気軽さはなかったかなと思うのです…。やはり投稿する以上は大きなupvoteを貰えるようにがんばらねばならない、となると、自然と求められているような情報量の多い、文章も画像もできる限りもりもりにした記事を目指すことになります。投稿先のコミュニティのルールに沿って、コミュニティに歓迎されるような記事を書こうと努力してきました。

でも、毎回毎回長文記事を書くのは難しいですし、実際にはそれほど書くことがない日もあったりして…　それでも、投稿する際はできる限り長い記事を書くよう努めてきました。時には報酬が欲しいからというよりも、「手抜き記事を投稿するアカウント」と見なされて、今後も含めてキュレーションの対象外になってしまったらどうしよう…という不安から、コンテンツのボリュームを増やしていることもありました。（実際、コミュニティによるキュレーションがどのように行われているかを私は知らないので、気軽な投稿をすることがマイナスになるかどうかは分かりませんが… 心配性なもので）

そんなわけで、少なくとも私にとってHIVEブログはあまり気軽な投稿先ではなくなっていました。投稿する際、ちょっと文章が短すぎるかな？とか、もう少し写真を足した方がいいかな？とか、毎回考えてしまいます。

HIVE版Twitterとしては既にDbuzzがあり、こちらもLeothreads同様短文投稿が可能なアプリケーションです。ただ、どうしても使う勇気が出なかったのが、Dbuzzから投稿するとPOST扱いになってしまうからでした。 POST扱いになるということは、Dbuzzから投稿したものは、フォロワーさんのタイムラインに載ってしまうということです。

でも「一日一投稿」が良いという暗黙のルールがあるHIVEで、タイムラインに一日に大量の投稿を並べることにはかなりの抵抗がありました。

# 何でも投稿できる自由

もっと気軽にHIVEに投稿できたら… ブログ記事にするほどではないけれどちょこっと書いておきたいことだったり、メモしておきたい知識だったり、そうしたものも含めてまるっとHIVEチェーンを使えたらいいなぁという漠然とした思いは、以前から抱いていました。それがLeothreadsの登場によって、可能になったと思います。

Leofinanceの長文投稿は、クリプト、投資、経済など、金融関連のテーマに限られます。一方でLeothreadsにテーマの縛りはなく、1投稿あたり240文字までの短文で、どのようなテーマで投稿してもOKです。またLeothreadsへの投稿はコメント機能を利用しているため、HIVEブログ、PEAKD、ecencyなどのタイムラインには表示されません（コメント、返信をクリックすれば他のフロントエンドからでも見ることはできます）

このようにLeothreadsは、長文が良いとされるHIVEの中に、安心して気軽に投稿できる場所を作ってくれました。今のところ稼ぐためのプラットフォームではないと思っていますが、upvoteの機能は備わっているので、うまくすれば稼ぐこともできるのかもしれません。今後、様々な使い道が生まれると思います。

# HIVEの知識を深める助けとなる
Leothreadsはマイクロ「ブログ」であると同時に、コミュニケーションのためのツールでもあります。現在はキャンペーン中で、スレッドの送信数を競うクエストの影響もあってか、スレッドはかなりの盛り上がりを見せています。

私にとって大きかったのは、当然ですがそこにいる全員がHIVEユーザーであり、しかも比較的長くHIVEを利用していて、このプラットフォームに詳しい人が多かったことです。私自身はHIVE歴7年目ですが、まだまだ分からないことだらけ… というか、調べれば調べるほど新たな疑問が生まれるのがHIVEな気がします。しかも資料がまとまっていなかったり、更新されていなかったりで、HIVEに関する最新情報を調べるのはかなり骨の折れる作業です。

しかし私はこのキャンペーンが始まって以降、Leothreadsでの会話を通じて、日頃から抱いていたLeofinanceやHIVEに関するいくつかの疑問を解決することができました。

ひとつ例を挙げます。私は最近、自分のResource Creditsを利用して新たなアカウントを作る方法を調べていました。通常、自分で新たにHIVEアカウントを作る場合には3HIVE掛かりますが、RCを消費することで無料でできます。RCを使って「Account Creation Token」を発行し、そのトークンを使えばアカウントを作れるはず… と、そこまでは知っていたのですが。

どういうわけか数ヶ月前まではPEAKDのウォレット画面に表示されていたClaimボタンが、表示されなくなってしまったのです。その理由が分からず悶々としていました。

その件をLeothreadsで話したところ、丁寧に教えてくれる人が現れたのです！そして私の場合、おそらくまだHPが足りないのだろうということ、以前Claimボタンが表示されていたのは500HPをdelegateしてもらっていた時期で、その時は足りていたのだろう、ということが分かりました。またアカウント作成に消費するRCは常に一定ではなく、変動するものだということも教えてもらいました。概ね5,000HPほどあれば、「Account Creation Token」を請求できるようになるらしいです！以下のリンクはその時の会話です。

過去記事などいくら調べてもなかなか辿り着けなかった情報が、あまりにすんなりと手に入ったことにとても驚きました。Twitterではあり得ないことです。「HIVEに興味がある」という共通点、そして彼らとリアルタイムで会話ができるということ、これらはかなり強力なポイントだと思います。

HIVEについて気軽に尋ねたり、相談したりする場所ができたことで、知識を吸収し深めることがこれまでより容易になったと感じています。

# まとめ
以上が、私が考える「LeothreadsがHIVEにもたらした変化」です。

まだまだ小さなバグや不具合などは発生しているし、Twitterのようにサクサクとは動きません。でもそれは追々解消されるはずだし、大した問題ではないと思っています。

これまでできなかった自由な投稿ができる場所、そしてHIVEの少々マニアックな部分についても情報交換できる場所が生まれたことが、私は嬉しくてたまりません・・・！これからも活用させてもらいます😍
