A blessed day to all of us.
Yesterday was a special day for my niece Letizia because it was her first birthday. Yesterday aunt invited me for her grandson's birthday today so just this morning I prepared what I will bring such as charger, cellphone, handkerchief, and selfie stick. This is what I use for taking photos.

Riding on a tuk-tuk vehicle I immediately got on, I was lucky because I was the only passenger and there was not much traffic on the road because it was early morning. This one I ride is very popular in our area because it is one of the vehicles that transport people to their various places.

When I got there, they were busy putting up decorations such as banners, balloons, letters saying "Happy birthday" and tables to put food on. Here in our city, by-package food such as lumpia, kalderita, bihon, kakanins and cakes are in vogue. For 5,500 pesos you can get a package for birthdays, baptisms, and other important occasions.

Those placed on the curtain as decorations are even ordered in an online shopping, that has also become a trend in this era of online shopping. Fortunately, the said birthday decoration order did not take long to arrive.

A moment later,  the ordered food arrived and this are the 5,500 pesos worth. There are different types of food that can be prepared for an occasion. Exactly and it was almost twelve o'clock and all the food was ready, only a few guests waited before starting a simple party.

But it has become our custom to celebrate a birthday like this before taking a picture before eating. My Ate and her daughter Letizia want some pictures. My brother was busy getting things from the kitchen so he couldn't join in taking the photo. Baby Letizia is their first child and it's also her first birthday. My ate's face can also be seen being happy as she holds Letizia in front of the food, especially the cake.

After taking pictures, the prayer for the food and the birthday celebrant began. Mama led a prayer while we listened and prayed earnestly. This is actually our custom here to pray before eating.

Before we leave, we will not really lose our traditional Filipino or Pinoy, the BH or bring house. Sending a lot of dishes left over from an occasion so that you don't have to cook when you get home and eat straight away when you're hungry. It was a really happy day.

For my niece, may you be blessed with many blessings and many birthdays to come in his life, stay healthy with the family.
