I spent the early morning procrastinating about going to the Big garden and planting. I repaired the picture that fell, cleaned the kitchen, wrote posts, edited photos, and generally messed around.

But finally it was 10:30 and I went out. It was a lovely day, cool and sunny with a breeze. The first job was to put the rest of the amendment down on this section. Then I got the broccoli mulched.

I cleaned up the mess I made mulching and laid out the lima bean row next to the garlic. I got it broadforked and raked in and planted 2 types of lima beans. Then I mulched behind the row.

I laid out the parsley and basil row and got it broadforked. That’s when I ran out of gas. It was 3PM.

On Tuesday I hope my cleaning helper is coming. It’s to be another beautiful day. We can get the parsley planted and mulch that whole area. I can’t plant the basil until it is warmer at night. The peas need to be weeded by the fence.

Then the garlic needs weeded, the markers taken up and we can start on the section south of the garlic. That needs weeded, the mulch taken up, and amendment put down. I don’t know how far we will get with that section. But when the garlic is done, and the peas weeded, the whole north half of the garden will be finished.
