It was a humid drizzly day, with thunder a long way off, off and on. I was VERY slow getting going this morning, not moving until nearly 10AM. Then I spent the day getting caught up with bills and paperwork. I am months behind.

In the process, I discovered that as of June 24th I am locked out of my Paypal account because I don’t have a cell phone they can text codes to. Just made my day! Sigh…. And there’s no recourse, at least that’s what the customer service person told me.

I dashed out just as another shower was starting and picked the sugar pod peas for supper. I had salmon with a ginger marinade and the peas. Simple and very good. A white peach was dessert.

It looks like Tom and his younger daughter will be helping me bring in the mulch hay on Sunday morning. It’s supposed to be dry so I am hoping to store it in the barn for next year.

It’s supposed to hit the 80’s later in the day, so I may, or may not, be able to finish the weeding in the Big garden.

Hello lovely lady! &#128522;

I've been picking a lot of sweet peas here, we use them in our salad every night and I'm going to try freezing some for winter some time this week. Then I'll also have to look into canning or some other way to preserve them. Maybe I'll water bath can them, that seems less scary than canning them on my unreliable stove. 

What do you do with all of yours that you won't be able to eat in a timely fashion? Water bath or regular canning or freezing or dehydrating or sell/give away the rest? &#128522;

We're looking forward to enjoying them all winter long, no matter which way we decide to save them. &#128522;

Okay, break time is over, time to get back to it, that laundry isn't going to do itself, though that would be a treat if it did. LOL! &#128522;

Sugar pod peas will turn to mush if you can them. I always freeze them. I don't tend to grow a lot more than I can eat in a year. If there is a little extra, I do give it away. My husband had built me a lovely farm stand, but it's not been set up in 5 years. Maybe some day...

That's good to know, this is our first year growing them and we've been enjoying them quite a bit, but now that they're coming full on we'll need to start freezing some for winter and sharing with our family. Thanks for the tip on them turning to mush if canned, that saved me a lot of time searching. We've been discussing putting a farm stand at the end of our driveway and letting our neighbours enjoy them too. We'll have different types of lettuce, peas, peppers, broccoli, sweet corn for eating and Indian corn for decoration to sell in it, if all our crops do well. &#128522;

I bet it's a beautiful farm stand, do you have any pictures of it? I'd love to see it, if you do, if not, don't worry I'll see it when its back in use in the future. &#128522;

Wow! You are having a heat wave! At least you have some rain in between. Here it’s monsoon season so I mustn’t forget my cap and umbrella!  Got caught in a shower the other day! All soaking wet.lol

We could sure use some rain, not a LOT but a nice long soaking rain. We were supposed to get rain yesterday but it didn't even register on the rain gauge.  :((
