It was feeling like a great year, but I guess 2022 had a different plan for me that wasn't the best. The year got off to a bad start in January when family troubles surfaced, mostly centered around my parents because it seemed as though my parents' marriage was about to break down and I had no solution to saving it despite being transformed into a marriage counselor over night.

I was curious as to how a flawless marriage was starting to break down at the beginning of what was supposed to be a fantastic year for the family. Well, as a newly licensed marriage counselor, I tried my best by giving my parents advice while realizing that only both parties can really handle the situation on their own.

 The drama lasted for the entire month of January, and at the start of February, I suffered a horrible breakup with my ex-girlfriend. It was extremely draining, and I felt completely lost. I felt as though everything was falling apart and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

It was undoubtedly not the ideal way for me to start the year, but everything occurs for a purpose, so with a faint and weak heart, it was time for me to prepare for more tragedies to come my way. In my life, I have never been so emotionally depleted, and it took a lot of time to recover.

Nature, however, has a way of bringing everything back into balance, so even when we think nothing good can happen, we often see happy outcomes and unexpected turns in our lives, and by mid-2022, the plot had completely changed.

**ACHIEVING MY YEARLY GOALS**

I turned 23 on June 5th, and it was a very significant milestone for me because despite a challenging start to the year, I was still on schedule to accomplish several goals. These were the objectives:
1. Obtaining a college certificate

2. Improving my content creation, blogging and content writing
 
3. Concentrating on personal growth via all means possible to empower myself

The fact that my parents had settled and the family was once again together, in my opinion, is what actually made my birthday beautiful. I enjoyed birthday celebration with my loved ones and friends. My phone rang nonstop all day, and gifts were flying everywhere. It was gratifying to know that I had a large following of people who actually care about me.

**SERVICE YEAR**

I have been away from HIVE for a very long time. In my country, I was performing National Service for a year as a requirement in order to obtain the National Service Certificate. The service was scheduled for the end of the year and was by far my best experience of 2022.


For the first 21 days of the three-week orientation program, there were many varied feelings. I had amazing encounters with individuals who thought and behaved differently. I made connections with people all throughout the country who had brilliant thoughts.


It felt as like my entire year's adventure had been preparing me for this moment at the conclusion of the year. It was a rewarding experience, however stressful, but it was worth every second spent in camp and even after camp.

To be completely honest, if I had a time machine and could go back and make the year 2022  perfect, I would not want to change a thing because doing so would disrupt nature's orderly progression of events in my life. The sad events of 2022 taught me specific things that I needed to learn and understand in order to improve as a person for both myself 
and those around me. All I can say is that I am utterly appreciative to the source that produces and guides our life and that the small victories from the year 2022 are the current basis for a smooth start to 2023.
