## Introduction

In this series of posts, We will present current feature set (hidden gems) that eSteem is offering. And details and usage of presented features. Each post will include gif animation and its explanation to guide reader through the process of using it. Note that these features are being improved constantly, you might notice some changes/addition in future releases.

<tr><td>We have implemented Fetch images feature giving you a choice to download images manually. Almost all Steem posts has images these days and some might be ~1MB, some can be even ~15MB which is quite big chunk of data for mobile. Countries like Indonesia or any other countries where mobile data is expensive these feature can help you to manage your consumption for better. You can save up to 90% of traffic with this feature. And best part is that you always have a choice to download/load each image if you think author of the post is referencing image or talking about image in article, other times authors include images just to get better formatting and make eye catching articles.</td></tr>

<tr><td>Disable Fetching image features only disables images from auto downloading/loading within post. But if you are viewing your Feed or Trending, Hot, etc. pages in Card view, you would still be downloading cover/thumbnail automatically which use up mobile data as well. Compact view helps with that, as it doesn’t load up thumbnail of the posts. Combining Compact view with Fetching images you would save up to 99% of current data usage (only text data) which is quite huge if you only rely on mobile data or have limited traffic monthly. You will still be in touch with your followers as well as make posts, comments, engage with minimal internet data usage. We are working to improve data saving even further with upcoming release v1.5.0</td></tr>
