Previously I was using a set-top box to access Netflix because the house because my landlord wasn't exactly forthcoming about the quality of the TV the house included (it isn't a smart-TV) and these set-top boxes have navigation issues when it comes to things like Netflix.

I recently bought a PS4 (I'm late to the party, i know) and this solved any navigation issues that I was experiencing on the now unused set-top box.  One added bonus that came along with this is that I was completely unaware that there were a lot more Love, Death, and Robots episodes then I previously though.  The set-top box navigation was "hiding" them from me.  Here are some of the better ones that I have watched in the past couple of days.

<h3> Lucky 13 </h3>

This episode has some of the best animation of any of the episodes that I have seen on here.  It looks like live action.  I think only one episode can beat this one in terms of the "crispness" and how lifelike it is and that would be my favorite mindF**K episode entitles "The Witness."

<h3>  Helping Hand </h3>

Taking place in orbit above earth, this episode is quite a lot shorter than the others and is actually quite gruesome (the series is rated 18+ because of nudity, violence and well, stuff like this.)  The animation and music is divine, as is the voice acting.  It was a bit reminiscent of the film "Gravity," but this doesn't take away from how epic this 9 minute or so short was.

<h3> Good Hunting </h3>

This love-story-of-sorts uses a completely different style of animation as it isn't even trying to be lifelike.  The combination of feudal China which later becomes and alternate future that kind of seems like a Final Fantasy universe is very appealing to me.  This has tons of nudity including penis-shots and seriously deserves the "over 18 only" rating.  The story ends up being unfinished in this one and that is kind of cool because we are left to finish the story how we see fit.... although to be honest i would have rather seen more of it.  Perhaps later.

<h3> Shape Shifters </h3>

This last one isn't much of a story so much as it is a couple of battles with incredible animation and "camera angles" a video game would be very envious of.  The story is too short for us to really have any sort of attachment to the characters but it is an interesting take on what the military could be like if Werewolves had any sort of loyalty (and were real.)

<h3> tl;dr </h3>

Love, Death, and Robots is just a phenomenal series.  Each of the episodes are around 10 minutes long and none of the stories are tied to one another.  Most of the shorts are completed by different studios and animators who are doing this, I dunno why, to show what they are capable of I guess.  You never know what sort of emotions are going to be invoked from one episode to the next and it can be a real roller coaster of humor, dread, or horror.  The fact that you can watch 3 episodes in under 30 minutes is pretty epic also.  

Although there are many more episodes that I am yet to watch, the series as a whole gets a very well deserved
