Hey everyone! Presenting my new drawing: 'The Penitent'
As you know, it's been a little while since I last sat down to draw. The truth is, I've been really busy with the rescue of the little dog I mentioned, and that's taken up a lot of my time for drawing, recording, and writing. But I'm happy to report she's doing much, much better! Her wounds are almost closed, and she's slowly gaining weight. Soon we'll start the process of finding her a home. It's truly a joy to see her improving little by little.
That's why this post is simpler, like the last few, just with photos of the drawing I managed to do in a free moment. I hope you like it! Alright, now let's get to this drawing that I decided to call 'The Penitent'.
What I can tell you about this drawing:
When I made it, I aimed to capture a male figure with well-defined musculature. For me, that speaks not only of physical strength but of an inner, spiritual fortitude. His hair, disheveled and curly, casts an intriguing shadow over part of his face, giving him an air of mystery, as if he holds stories or exists between light and shadow.
In his left hand, the figure holds a long staff, and the top part has a glowing orb. To me, it's like a lighthouse, something that guides, a connection to something greater. With that staff, I imagine he leaves a path of hope wherever he goes.
But, to be honest, what draws my attention the most is his right hand. It's raised, as if offering something or in prayer, and there he holds a simple rosary with a cross. This rosary isn't just an adornment; no, for me, it's like the anchor of his own soul. Each bead makes me think of a prayer, a struggle overcome, a moment of faith. Through it, I feel this character carries the weight of faith and the constant battle against doubts.
This drawing made me think a lot about faith, penance, guiding others, or even the weight of a great responsibility. The contrast between how strong his body looks and the delicate rosary in his hand, I believe it tells a very powerful visual story!

¡Hola a todos! Les presento mi nuevo dibujo: "El Penitente"
como saben, ha pasado un tiempito desde la última vez que me senté a dibujar. La verdad es que he estado bien ocupado con el rescate de la perrita que les mencione y eso me ha quitado un montón de tiempo para dibujar, grabar y escribir. ¡Pero les cuento que ya está muchísimo mejor! Sus heridas casi cerradas y está agarrando peso poco a poco, pronto empezaremos el proceso de buscarle un hogar. es una alegría verla mejorando poco a poco.
Precisamente por eso, esta publicación es más sencilla, como las últimas, solo con las fotos del dibujo que pude hacer en un ratito libre. ¡Espero que les guste! Bueno, ahora sí, ¡vamos con este dibujo que quise llamar "El Penitente"
Lo que les puedo contar de este dibujo:
Cuando lo hice, busqué plasmar a una figura masculina con una musculatura bien marcada. Para mí, eso no solo habla de fuerza física, sino de una fortaleza interior, de espíritu. Su cabello, así como despeinado y con rizos, proyecta una sombra intrigante en parte de su cara, lo que le da un aire de misterio, como si guardara historias o estuviera entre la luz y la sombra.
En su mano izquierda, la figura sostiene un bastón largo, y la parte de arriba tiene como un orbe que brilla con una luz suave. Para mí, es como un faro, algo que guía, una conexión con algo más grande. Con ese bastón, me imagino que va dejando un camino de esperanza por donde pasa.
Pero, si les soy sincero, lo que más me llama la atención es su mano derecha. La tiene levantada, como si estuviera ofreciendo algo o en una plegaria, y ahí sostiene un rosario sencillo con una cruz. Este rosario no es solo un adorno, no, para mí es como el ancla de su propia alma. Cada cuenta me hace pensar en una oración, en una lucha superada, en un momento de fe. A través de él, siento que este personaje carga el peso de la fe y la constante batalla contra las dudas.
Este dibujo me hizo pensar mucho en la fe, en la penitencia, en el guiar a otros o incluso en el peso de una gran responsabilidad. El contraste entre lo fuerte que se ve el cuerpo y lo delicado del rosario en su mano, ¡creo que cuenta una historia visual muy potente!
