Finally, I was able to finish watching the second season of **The Morning Show**. It was in mid-2020 when I watched the first season of this series, by then I couldn't even think about an AppleTV+ subscription so I had to search here and there until I managed to find all the chapters. After completing those 10 chapters, which I loved, I was left with the anxiety of the next season.

Back then, watching the series was a recommendation made to me by @soy-laloreto, and the hook was to mention the cast of the series: _Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon,_ and _Steve Carell_. While I admire them all, it's _Jennifer Aniston_ who I've been a fan of since her early days on **Friends**, which has always made me follow her work. Certainly, the _Jennifer Aniston_ of **The Morning Show** is far from the _Jennifer Aniston_ of **Friends**, not only because more than 20 years of experience and maturity have passed, but also because the nature of both characters is absolutely different, there is a marked transition from comedy to drama.

>Finalmente pude terminar de ver la segunda temporada de **The Morning Show**. Fue a mediados del 2020 cuando vi la primera temporada de esta serie, para entonces ni pensar en una suscripción de AppleTV+ así que me tocó buscar por aquí y por allá hasta que lo logré. Tras completar esos 10 capítulos, que amé, quedé con la ansiedad de una próxima temporada. 

>En aquel entonces ver la serie fue una recomendación que me hizo @soy-laloreto, y el gancho fue mencionarme el elenco de la serie: _Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon_ y _Steve Carell_. Si bien a todos los admiro, es de _Jennifer Aniston_ de quien he sido fan desde sus inicios en **Friends**, lo que me ha hecho seguir siempre su trabajo. Ciertamente, la _Jennifer Aniston_ de **The Morning Show** dista mucho de la de **Friends**, no solo porque hayan pasado más de 20 años de experiencia y madurez, sino porque la naturaleza de ambos personajes es absolutamente diferente, existe un marcado paso de la comedia al drama.

The anxiety of a new season ended at the end of last year when I found out that the 10 new episodes of the series were already available on the streaming platform. In those days, my brother-in-law told me that with the purchase of his new iPhone he had been given a membership, so he included me in his family plan to share his Apple packages with me, but unfortunately, that membership only let me see the first season, to enjoy the second I had to pay an additional rental, I do not know the conditions of the plan, the point was that I could not see it. 

In December, while I was in isolation after testing positive for Covid19 I spent my days watching series and movies, so I took advantage of that time to look for the new episodes of The Morning Show, it was still a pending task, and voila, I got them all. It didn't take me long to start watching them, but when I was halfway through the season I ran into a reality that made me abandon the series until a few days ago. It turns out that the series adapted to the current times and decided to include the pandemic topic in the plot, considering that it is a morning show with news segments, obviously they chose to cover the news around the evolution and impact of the virus. So, in order to avoid feeling identified with any particular case, I preferred not to continue watching it at that time.

>La ansiedad de una nueva temporada finalizó a finales del año pasado cuando supe que ya estaban disponible en la plataforma de streaming los 10 nuevos capítulos de la serie. En esos días, mi cuñado me comentó que con la compra de su nuevo iPhone le habían obsequiado una membresía, así que me incluyó en su plan de familia para compartir sus paquetes de Apple conmigo, pero, lamentablemente esa membresía solo me dejaba ver la primera temporada, para disfrutar de la segunda debía cancelar un alquiler adicional, desconozco las condiciones del plan, el punto fue que no la pude ver. 

>En diciembre, mientras estuve aislada tras haber dado positivo para Covid19 dediqué mis días en ver series y películas, así que aproveché ese tiempo para buscar los nuevos capítulos de The Morning Show, seguía siendo una tarea pendiente, y voilá, los conseguí todos. No tardé en comenzar a verlos, pero cuando iba a mitad de temporada me topé con una realidad que me hizo abandonar la serie hasta hace pocos días. Resulta que la serie se adecuó a los tiempos actuales y decidió incluir el tema de la pandemia en la trama, considerando que se trata de un show matutino con segmentos de noticias, obviamente optaron por cubrir las noticias entorno a la evolución e impacto del virus. Entonces, para evitar sentirme identificada con algún caso en particular, preferí no seguir viéndola en ese momento.

Now that I can now enjoy AppleTV+ programming without restrictions, and am somehow forced to take a few days of rest at home, it was the right time to close the loop, and yes, I managed to finally watch the entire second season.

After that last episode of the first season in which Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson exposed to the whole country what was going on behind the scenes at UBA, and the whole sexual abuse scandal involving Mitch Kessler and other executives of the channel; Alex leaves the show and completely withdraws from the media for about 9 months to write her memoirs until she is contacted by Cory Ellison (the new president of the channel) who makes her a juicy offer for a triumphant return to The Morning Show.

The return is a new opportunity for Alex to reconnect with her audience and regain the control that fame had given her; however, the past grudges of many of the members of the program will make her reconsider if returning was the right thing to do, because Mitch Kessler's past and her closeness to him, haunts her and points her mercilessly. For the feminist society, Alex is a kind of brave heroine who uncovered a rotten pot that revealed a cruel reality in which sexual favors represented the incentive to move up in such a competitive industry. For her adversaries, on the contrary, Alex is a participant and accomplice of that tangled and perverted world, so they will not hesitate to scrutinize her past until they find something that will subject her to public scorn.

>Ahora que ya puedo disfrutar de la programación de AppleTV+ sin restricciones, y que de alguna manera estoy obligada a tomarme unos días de descanso en casa, ha sido el momento oportuno para cerrar el ciclo, y sí, logré finalmente ver la segunda temporada completa.

>Luego de ese último capítulo de la primera temporada en la que Alex Levy y Bradley Jackson dejan en evidencia ante todo el país lo que estaba pasando tras cámara en UBA, y todo el escándalo de abusos sexuales que involucraba a Mitch Kessler y a otros ejecutivos del canal; Alex abandona el programa y se aleja completamente de los medios por alrededor de 9 meses a escribir sus memorias, hasta que es contactada por Cory Ellison (el nuevo presidente del canal) quien le hace una jugosa oferta para un triunfal regreso a The Morning Show.

>Este regreso es una nueva oportunidad para Alex de reencontrarse con su público y de retomar el control que la fama le había otorgado; sin embargo, los rencores del pasado en muchos de los miembros del programa le harán reconsiderar si volver ha sido lo correcto, pues el pasado de Mitch Kessler y su cercanía con él, la persigue y la señala despiadadamente. Para la sociedad feminista, Alex es una especie de valiente heroína que destapó una olla podrida que develó una cruel realidad en la que los favores sexuales representaban el aliciente para poder ascender en una industria tan competitiva. Para sus adversarios, por el contrario, Alex es partícipe y cómplice de ese enmarañado y pervertido mundo, por lo que no dudarán en escudriñar su pasado hasta hallar algo que la someta al escarnio público.

For his part, Mitch Kessler, dealing with the consequences of his actions, and in a desperate attempt to escape from public life, decides to spend his days on the other side of the world, away from everything and everyone who can continue to point fingers at him for his past mistakes.

In the meantime, Bradley Jackson manages to gain the trust of the work team, demonstrating with the tenacity that she is a journalist of stature who, despite being favored by the hasty appointment of Alex Levy, could still have gained the recognition of UBA on her own merits. However, although professional success smiles on her, her personal life takes a turn that is condemned by conservative society and exposes her to public opinion, a situation that disturbs her, considering her roots and family background.

>Por su parte, Mitch Kessler, lidia con las consecuencias de sus acciones, y en un intento desesperado por escapar de la vida pública, decide pasar sus días al otro lado del mundo, alejado de todo y de todos los que le puedan seguir señalando por sus errores pasados.

>En ese interín, Bradley Jackson consigue ganarse la confianza del equipo de trabajo, demuestra con tesón que es una periodista de altura a la que más allá de haberla favorecido el nombramiento precipitado de Alex Levy, igual pudo haberse ganando el reconocimiento de UBA con méritos propios. Sin embargo, aunque el éxito profesional le sonríe, su vida personal da un giro condenable por la sociedad conservadora exponiéndola ante la opinión pública, situación que la perturba, considerando su raíces y pasado familiar.

Although the plot in the second season is marked by the sexual scandals that occurred in the first season, this time the story is also flagged to address issues of racism, gender discrimination, and harassment in social networks. Similarly, it addresses to a large extent the emotional repercussions of the Covid19 pandemic. In fact, the final chapter is a profound reflection on the value of life in times of such vulnerability. 

I would say at this point that everything is served to think about the third season, but it would be an extemporaneous comment because earlier this year it was already confirmed that there will indeed be a third season of the series that is expected to be available by the end of this year, although the date has not been confirmed.

>Si bien la trama en la segunda temporada está signada por los marcados escándalos sexuales ocurridos en la primera temporada, en esta oportunidad la historia también es bandera para abordar temas de racismo, discriminación de géneros y acoso en redes sociales. De igual forma, aborda en gran medida las repercusiones emocionales producto de la pandemia del Covid19. De hecho, el capítulo final, es una profunda reflexión del valor de la vida en momentos de tanta vulnerabilidad. 

>Diría en este punto que todo está servido para pensar en una tercera temporada, pero sería un comentario extemporáneo, pues a inicios de este año ya se confirmó que en efecto habrá una tercera entrega de la serie que se espera esté disponible para finales de este mismo año, aunque la fecha no ha sido confirmada.

I really enjoyed the second season, it's a pleasure to see these two women that I love _(Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon)_ showing off their talents on screen. It has been lovely to see that amidst the differences between the two, sisterhood echoes. However, this time around, unlike the first season, I felt the focus of the story a bit more scattered, with many issues at once, which is not bad, but in the first season, it was as intriguing as it was gripping to track the issue of Mitch Kessler's sexual abuse. Anyway, I already want to see the next season, I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it.

>Disfruté mucho la segunda temporada, es un placer ver a estas dos mujeres que me encantan _(Jennifer Aniston y Reese Witherspoon)_ haciendo gala de su talento en pantalla. Ha sido encantador ver que en medio de las diferencias entre ambas, la sororidad hace eco. Sin embargo, en esta oportunidad, a diferencia de la primera temporada, sentí el foco de la historia un poco más dispersa, muchos temas a la vez, que no está mal, pero en la primera temporada fue tan intrigante como apasionante seguirle la pista al tema del abuso sexual de Mitch Kessler. De igual forma, ya quiero ver la siguiente temporada, segura estoy que la voy a disfrutar.
