As I have defined myself, I am a technology fanatic, I am passionate about it, I live it, I enjoy it; and to that same extent, I like to involve my loved ones with this wonderful world, so I always consider that giving technology as a gift, is the perfect gift.

As you may know, this past Sunday was celebrated Father's Day, I celebrate mine in my memories because he is no longer in this plane, but I celebrate the father of my children, my husband, who for me is an example to imitate. Thinking about what I could give him I was looking at several options until I focused on a Smartwatch, which obviously triggered a long selection process because today there is a fairly wide range of this segment with so many benefits that make them highly attractive and functional.

>Como sabrán este pasado domingo se celebró el día del padre, yo festejo al mío en mis recuerdos porque ya no está en este plano, pero celebro al de mis hijos, a mi esposo, que para mi es un ejemplo a seguir. Pensando en que podría obsequiarle estuve viendo varias opciones, hasta que me enfoqué en un reloj inteligente (Smartwatch), lo que obviamente desencadenó en un largo proceso de selección, pues hoy en día hay una oferta bastante amplia de este segmento con tantas bondades que los hacen altamente atractivos y funcionales.

I spent many hours looking for a model that would suit my husband's needs, so I had to analyze many points in the comparison chart: quality, specifications, price, compatibility, even design; until I finally got one that I made a “click” with for several reasons among which stand out: model, functions, price, and availability in my area.

>Dediqué muchas horas en buscar un modelo que se adaptara a las necesidades de mi esposo, por lo que debí analizar muchos puntos en el cuadro comparativo: calidad, especificaciones, precio, compatibilidad, incluso diseño; hasta que finalmente conseguí uno con el que hice “clip” por varias razones entre las que destacan: modelo, funciones, precio y disponibilidad en mi zona.

I opted for the Smartwatch Y10, a watch with a sporty design that at first glance emulates the classic analog wristwatch, that was the first thing that made me fall in love because it goes unnoticed. Obviously, it was its functions that convinced me that it was the ideal choice.

When we open the box we will find the watch face, the silicone straps, a magnetic charger, and an instruction manual. In this case, the watch is black, but it is also available in other attractive colors.

The Y10 is equipped with a 1.54-inch touch screen, from which you have access to all the functions configuration, ranging from a Bluetooth connection with Android and iOS devices for receiving notifications of messages (SMS, WhatsApp, social networks), caller ID, answer and receive calls, synchronize the address book, play music; to monitoring and control of health values, such as calorie counting, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, sleep analysis, sedentary lifestyle, etc. It also has specific functions for monitoring physical or sports activity, as well as other functions such as stopwatch, calculator, alarm, among others. 

>El Y10 está provisto de una pantalla táctil de 1.54 pulgadas, desde la se tiene acceso a toda la configuración de funciones, que van desde una conexión bluetooth con dispositivos Android y iOS para la recepción de notificaciones de mensajes (sms, whatsapp, redes sociales), identificador de llamadas, atender y recibir llamadas, sincronizar la libreta de contactos, reproducir música; hasta el monitoreo y control de valores de salud, como el conteo de calorías, la presión la arterial, frecuencia cardíaca, nivel de oxígeno en la sangre, análisis de sueño, sedentarismo, etc. También tiene funciones específicas para el monitoreo de actividad física o deportiva, además de otras como cronómetro, calculadora, alarma, entre otros.

Many of these functions can be activated directly from the watch, however, there is an app (Lefun Health) that synchronizes from the cell phone and expands the device's configuration options.

I was particularly interested in evaluating the effectiveness of the watch in monitoring blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen level, so it was the first thing I wanted to test and compare with the results of specialized equipment for these measurements, the answer is quite close with a minimum range of deviation.

>Yo en lo particular tenía especial interés en evaluar la efectividad del reloj en el monitoreo de presión arterial, frecuencia cardíaca y nivel de oxígeno, por lo que fue lo primero que quise probar y comparar con los resultados de equipos especializados para estas mediciones, la respuesta es bastante aproximada con un rango de desviación mínimo.

Another point to evaluate was the battery life of 200 mAh, which depending on the use can last from 3 to 4 days on average, and for which a magnetic charger is included that requires about 2 hours to charge to 100%.

>Otro punto a evaluar fue la duración de la batería que es de 200 mAh, que dependiendo el uso puede durar de 3 a 4 días en promedio, y para lo cual se incluye un cargador magnético que toma alrededor de 2 horas en ofrecer carga al 100%.

One thing to appreciate is that the manual is in both Chinese and English, which makes it easy to understand, in fact, the clock interface can be configured in multiple languages, including Spanish. As for the interface, the watch supports several types of skin to change the appearance and the way in which data is displayed.

>Algo que agradecer es que el manual vine tanto en idioma chino como en inglés lo que facilita su compresión, de hecho, la interfaz del reloj se puede configurar en múltiples idiomas, incluyendo el español. Finally, I will talk about the price, an important point to consider based on the functions provided by the watch. This device is available in Venezuela for between $30 and $45, everything will depend on the supplier and the luck we have at the time of purchase.

>Finalmente les hablaré del precio, un punto importante a considerar en base a las funciones que ofrece. Este dispositivo está disponible en Venezuela entre $30 y $45, todo va a depender del proveedor y de la suerte que tengamos al momento de hacer la compra. 

By the way, as for letting yourself be convinced at the time of purchase, I should mention that while studying this model, in many cases it was mentioned that the same has an IP68 waterproof level, which would make it highly water-resistant, however, in the user manual there is no mention of this anywhere. So avoid taking any chances.

>Por cierto, en cuanto a dejarse convencer al momento de comprar, debo mencionar que mientras estudiaba este modelo, en muchos casos se mencionaba que el mismo tiene un nivel de impermeabilidad IP68, lo que lo haría altamente resistente al agua, sin embargo, en el manual de usuarios no se menciona esto por ningún lado. Así que evite correr riesgos.
