Mi presentación en Hive/My Introduction to Hive

No me gusta hablar sobre mí, realmente no me gusta, pero recientemente publiqué mi primer post en #Hive y fui contactado por @jcrodriguez de @OCD y él me dijo que se esperaba un post de #IntroducingMyself. De manera que aquí estoy. Haré lo mejor que pueda, deséenme suerte.

**¿Quién soy?/Who am I?**
Mi nombre es Edgardo, soy cubano, pero actualmente vivo en México. Soy biólogo y recientemente comencé mi doctorado en Ciencias Biológicas aquí en la UNAM. Desde que tengo memoria he sido aficionado a las plantas y durante mi licenciatura me enamoré de los cactus. Desde entonces, he dedicado mucho tiempo y energía a intentar comprender varios aspectos de su biología y su ecología, sobre eso es mi doctorado.

También me gustaría mostrarles algunas imágenes de mi visita al Jardín Botánico de Kew. Tienen una colección de cactus increíble, bueno, tienen una colección increíble de plantas, pero como se podrán imaginar ya, yo estuve interesado fundamentalmente en los cactus.

**Otras cosas sobre mi/Other things about me**
Me encanta cocinar y lo hago regularmente, ok lo hago diariamente. La mayor parte del tiempo no me detengo a fotografiar lo que cocino. Pero hoy si tomé una, de modo que les puedo mostrar al menos esa.

Lo que pueden ver es un postre que me hice para el almuerzo de hoy, nosotros le llamamos “Arepas” pero creo que son muy parecidos a los Panqueques. No lo sé de seguro; espero que Uds. me puedan decir.

También me gusta leer y disfruto casi cualquier tipo de libros. Pero disfruto especialmente los libros de fantasía (y las pelis y las series). Soy fanático de Tolkien y el Señor de los Anillos y por supuesto también de Canción de Hielo y Fuego de George Martin. Pero también disfruto libros de ciencia ficción, Particularmente la saga Fundación de Isaac Asimov y la saga de Ender de Orson Scott Card, de veras les recomiendo ambas.

Oí sobre Hive durante el evento #BitcoinAsere que tuvo lugar en la Habana hace unos días un amigo me envió el link al video de youtube, y encontré la idea de la web 3.0 y una red social en la cadena de bloques muy interesante, así que le di un chance y cree mi perfil hace algunos días. Dediqué casi una semana a leer sobre Hive y sus oportunidades. Me doy cuenta de que todavía me queda mucho por aprender, pero también creo que hacer es la mejor manera aprender, Así que me aventuré a publicar. Hasta ahora me siento bien con el resultado, considerando que mi experiencia es de 15 días.  Eso es todo, espero no haberlos aburrido, nos vemos.

Al principio te cohibes de tomarte una foto o de hacer un paso a paso de cualquier proyecto. Luego verás futuras ideas para post hasta cruzando la calle, **es impresionante!**

En cuanto a tu pasión por coleccionar ese tipo de plantas xenofilas, pues tengo una amiga que también es adicta a los cactus y últimamente unos viveros cercanos a mi casa están trayendo hasta injertos de un captus con otro. (Espero que este correcto el término de xenofilas porque sino que pena contigo jijijij)

Tus panquecas se ven deliciosas, yo las comería con un poquito de canela y azúcar, me encantan así. Depende del país varía el nombre que le dan: panquecas, panqueques, wafles (si los haces en la waflera -aunque la masa es la misma).

Por lo de libros, gracias por las recomendaciones porque ya me estaba quedando sin ideas de que leer cuando acabara la saga que leo. Yo te recomiendo la Saga Leyend de Marie Lu, es una distopia y son 3 libros... mmm... si buscas algo más de ciencia ficción pero que empalma con la historia de druidas, época de un poco antes del rey arturo, e incluso el origen de Excalibur... pues entonces lee mi libro favorito en el mundo... La última Legión, de Valerio Massimo Manfredi. Es un best-seller y es solo un libro pero engloba de todo... te sorprende a cada paso y cada detalle cuenta en la historia, aunque no sea obvio en el momento.
