- **1.-¿Cuál es el mejor consejo que te ha dado tu madre, abuela, tía, modelo a seguir o una amiga?// What is the best advice your mother, grandmother, aunt, female role model, or a female friend ever gave you?**

<p><div class="text-justify"> Wow!! una gran pregunta para la reflexión. Mi madre, siempre se ha caracterizado por ser una mujer muy sumisa, porque en sus tiempos le enseñaron que debía ser una buena hija, esposa y hermana. Por lo tanto ella siempre, para evitar situaciones de riesgo, porque sí que es bien nerviosa! Prefiere pasar desapercibida.</div></p> 

>Wow!!a great question for thought. My mother has always been characterized as a very submissive woman, because in her time she was taught that she should be a good daughter, wife and sister. Therefore she always, to avoid risky situations, because she is very nervous! Prefers to go unnoticed.


<p><div class="text-justify"> Por eso digamos que ella nos ha enseñado más con su ejemplo que por su hablar. De eso deduzco que no aprendemos tanto por los sermones sino más por el ejemplo, por los prototipos de las personas que idealizamos y como quienes queremos ser de adultos…Ella siempre dedicada a la cocina, a hacer muchos cursos de repostería, a mantener la casa ordenada y cuidar de sus hijos. Siempre aguardando en casa el momento en el que su esposo llega para servirle de comer. Eso! Quizás en estos tiempos para algunas mujeres suena abrumador.</div></p> 

>So let's say that she has taught us more by her example than by her speaking. From that I deduce that we do not learn so much from sermons but more from example, from the prototypes of the people we idealize and as those of us who want to be as adults ...She is always dedicated to cooking, taking many courses in pastry, keeping the house neat and take care of your children. Always waiting at home for the moment when her husband arrives to serve her food. That! Maybe in these times for some women it sounds overwhelming.

<p><div class="text-justify"> Digamos que Yo! Aprendí  a tomar esa calidez, Sencillez y Amor, Además de esa entrega al hogar y lo combino con mi actualidad, porque de eso se trata la evolución como seres humanos; de no ser tan radicales y creer que todo debe ser cuadrado y encajado. De no pasarnos toda la vida en el reproche y decir, Yo soy así porque eso fue lo vi en mi hogar.</div></p> 

> Let's say I! I learned to take that warmth, Simplicity and Love, In addition to that dedication to home and I combine it with my present time, because that is what evolution as human beings is about; of not being so radical and believing that everything must be square and fitted. Not to spend our whole lives in reproach and say, I am like that because that was what I saw in my home.


<p><div class="text-justify"> De los consejos y ejemplo de mi madre, me encanta la cocina, soy muy dedicada a mis hijos, a escucharles y orientarlos. De reír, ver televisión junto a ellos, ayudarles a combinar la ropa de acuerdo a sus gustos de moda, por mencionar algunas vivencias. Y esa actitud me ha permitido mantener un hilo de confianza a medida que van creciendo. Acostumbran contarme sus historias diarias, como algo normal.</div></p> 

>From the advice and example of my mother, I love cooking, I am very dedicated to my children, to listen to them and guide them. Laughing, watching television with them, helping them combine clothes according to their fashion tastes, to name a few experiences. And that attitude has allowed me to maintain a thread of trust as they grow. They usually tell me their daily stories, as something normal.

<p><div class="text-justify"> Soy afortunada porque en cualquier momento del día mis hijos me cuentan de sus amigos y les conozco a cada uno, aunque algunos les se la vida entera y solo el nombre! jajaja Pero logro conocer de sus vivencias del día a día, de sus gustos y sus temores; hasta de cómo son capaces de reaccionar frente  a situaciones que viven. </div></p> 

> I am fortunate because at any time of the day my children tell me about their friends and I know each one of them, although some of them I know their entire lives and only their names! jajaja But I get to know their day-to-day experiences, their tastes and their fears; even how they are able to react to situations they live.


**Para mí es el mejor consejo que mi madre me ha podido dar, su ejemplo de buena madre!.**

<p><div class="text-justify"> Por otro lado, una de mis hermanas mayores también influyó mucho en mí, ella siempre muy centrada, con su visión establecida hacia donde quería estar, como quería vivir. Trabajaba de día, hasta eso de las 6:00 pm y luego se iba a la universidad privada que ella misma se pagaba. Así se graduó y  fue por muchos años, azafata de la Aerolínea Avianca en Venezuela. Eso fue lo que siempre quiso ser!. Su constancia y Claridad me motivaron a confiar en que yo también podría trabajar y estudiar al mismo tiempo, y así lo hice.</div></p> 

> On the other hand, one of my older sisters also influenced me a lot, she always very focused, with her established vision of where she wanted to be, how she wanted to live. She worked during the day, until about 6:00 pm and then went to the private university that she paid for herself. Thus she graduated and was for many years, stewardess of the Avianca Airline in Venezuela. That was what he always wanted to be! His perseverance and clarity motivated me to trust that I too could work and study at the same time, and I did.

- **2.- Si pudieras retroceder en el tiempo y darle a tu yo más joven solo un consejo, ¿cuál sería?// If you could go back in time and give your younger-self just one piece of advice what would it be?**

 
<p><div class="text-justify"> Vaya! Ésta pregunta sí que me llevó de inmediato a mi adolescencia, fue como mirar en un espejo a esa niña delgada de grandes ojos hermosos y cabello brillante largo; que llamaban Pocahontas! pero que en ese momento se sentía feísima por ser tan delgada y con ropa siempre regalada o remendada porque nunca había suficiente dinero para comprar algo nuevo. Esa adolescente que soñaba con ser modelo y bailarina!. Me fui directo a mis 13 y 14 años. </div></p> 

>Wow! This question did take me immediately to my adolescence, it was like looking in a mirror at that slim girl with big beautiful eyes and long shiny hair; they called Pocahontas! but that at that moment she felt very ugly for being so thin and with clothes always given away or mended because there was never enough money to buy something new. That teenager who dreamed of being a model and a dancer! I went straight to my 13 and 14 years.

<p><div class="text-justify"> Es algo difícil darme un solo consejo. Me diría confía en ti, eres inteligente y valiosa! comparte con tus amistades, aprender a manejar, no seas tan temerosa, dedícate a hacer los cursos  de idiomas, danza y maquillaje así tu padre te regañe por estar en la calle!. Convéncelo de que estás haciendo lo que te gusta!.</div></p>
 
> It is somewhat difficult to give me one piece of advice. I would say trust you, you are smart and valuable! Share with your friends, learn to drive, don't be so fearful, dedicate yourself to doing language, dance and makeup courses even if your father scolds you for being on the street! Convince him that you are doing what you love!

<p><div class="text-justify"> Debo confesar que lloré con esta respuesta!. Mi adolescencia fue muy dura. No lograba encajar en ninguna parte. A pesar de ello nunca tomé el camino del alcohol y las drogas. Pero si siento que perdí mucho tiempo en tristezas innecesarias por mi falta de autoestima, que pude haber aprovechado en aprender cosas que hoy me servirían para sustentarme económicamente.</div></p> 

>I must confess that I cried with this answer! My adolescence was very hard. He couldn't fit in anywhere. Despite this, I never took the path of alcohol and drugs. But I do feel that I wasted a lot of time in unnecessary sadness due to my lack of self-esteem, which I could have taken advantage of in learning things that today would serve me to support myself financially.

Seguramente de esa experiencia vienen esas ganas Enormes! de motivar a mis hijos en cada cosa que quieren aprender, de decirles: **ÁNIMO! Tú puedes, nuestro cerebro está capacitado para aprender todo lo que quieras.**
