Greetings, travel loving people.

Today I want to ask you to accompany me on this trip I made to Trinidad and Tobago, a very recent republic but with a complex history that began at least 7000 years ago.

Hoy quiero pedirles que me acompañen a este viaje que realicé a Trinidad y Tobago, una república de muy reciente data pero que tiene tras sí  una compleja historia que comienza desde hace un mínimo de 7000 años.

After the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the Americas, the territory was under the possession, sometimes alternative, of the English, French, Dutch, and Spanish, finally ending up in the hands of the English.

Trinidad and Tobago became independent from the British empire in 1962 to take over republican life in 1976.

I believe that the most important sign of this most interesting nation is, due to its history, that of multiculturalism.

Después de la llegada de Cristóbal Colón a las américas, el territorio estuvo bajo posesión, alternativa en algunas ocasiones, de ingleses, franceses, holandeses, y españoles, acabando finalmente en manos de los ingleses.

Trinidad y Tobago se independizó del imperio británicos en 1962 para asumir la vida republicana en 1976.

Creo que el signo más importante de esta interesantísima nación es, por su historia, el de la multiculturalidad.

Trinidad and Tobago is very close to Venezuela, both geographically and in some historical aspects. We left there on a flight that lasted about 45 minutes.

The most important airport in Trinidad and Tobago is located in the town of Piarco, a city in the north of Trinidad, approximately 25 km from Port of Spain, the nation's capital.

Trinidad and Tobago is an archipelago made up of two major islands, Trinidad, the largest and most populated, and Tobago. The archipelago is also made up of several other smaller islands. Tobago is 30 km northeast of Trinidad.

Our final destination was, this time for a family vacation, the island of Tobago. But before heading there we decided to walk around Port of Spain a bit.

 The religious architecture of Port of Spain tells the history of the nation. In its capital we can admire Anglican and Catholic cathedrals, a Jama Masjid mosque, as well as Hindu temples.

We can also find buildings with Renaissance styles, such as the Parliament called La Casa Roja.

On Frederick Street, we are in the economic and commercial movement of the city, there we find bazaars, boutiques and large fabric stores.
The multicultural component of trinidad gives consumer goods an impressive richness and variety.

The Royal Botanical Garden of Trinidad is a beautiful and old recreational space, created in 1818, which has an area of ​​25 hectares. This space is, with good reason, a source of pride for the inhabitants of Port of Spain, it contains a vegetation brought, in large part, from all the continents of the world.
It is a very careful space that remains open to the public every day of the year, between six in the morning and six in the afternoon.

The walk through these spaces observing and knowing its 700 trees is a great experience of contact with nature.
  
>El Real Jardín Botánico de Trinidad  es un hermoso y antiguo espacio recreativo creado en 1818 que tiene una extensión de 25 hectáreas . Este espacio es con Razón motivo de orgullo de los habitantes de Puerto España, contiene una vegetación traída en gran parte de  todos los continentes del mundo. 
Es un espacio muy cuidado que permanece abierto al publico todos los días del año, en un horario comprendido ente las seis de la mañana y las seis de la tarde. 
El paseo por estos espacios observando y conociendo sus 700 árboles es una gran experiencia de contacto con la naturaleza.

Now we are going to recognize the environment, we will live in this cabin for two weeks. It is a very comfortable holiday complex. Without being very luxurious, it has everything you need to vacation, the employees are friendly, and the pools and gardens look well-kept. There are plants that attract hummingbirds. Employees tell me that Tobago's first name was, in indigenous language, "Island of the hummingbirds."

 >Ahora nos vamos a reconocer el ambiente, viviremos en esta cabaña durante dos semanas. Es un conjunto vacacional muy confortable. Tobago has a population of close to 62,000, a population of which you hardly have a notion when you get to its capital Scarborough, a city that has been developing around the island's market. That will be the next goal on this visit.
For now, we walk around our accommodation for a while. The buildings near the airport in front of the sea are destined to the tourist sector, the main source of income for the island.

>Tobago cuenta con una población cercana a los 62.000, población de la que apenas se tiene una noción cuando se llega hasta su capital Scarborough, ciudad que se ha ido desarrollando alrededor del mercado de la isla. Ese será el próximo objetivo en esta visita. 
Por ahora caminamos un rato por los alrededores de nuestro  alojamiento.  Las edificaciones cercanas al aeropuesto en frente del mar están destinadas al sector turístico, principal fuente de ingreso de la isla.

 We will spend the remaining hours of the day in front of the sea, enjoying the tranquility that comes from knowing that you are on an island. A place where the clock can stop looking to contemplate the beautiful afternoon instead.

We can stay on the beach until we want to, watch the sun go down until night covers the horizon.
It has been a very special day, we stepped on an unknown land and she has been kind too much.

Now, with the night, the first metals of the band sound behind us. That music tells us that we are in Trinidad and Tobago and, although it is not carnival, it is Saturday night.
 Children should prepare for sleep and adults can get up late tomorrow.
