Restocking In One Of The Most Congested Market In Lagos

Hello hivers! This is my first post in this community and i hope it is creditable and suitable. I am elated to share a glimpse of my business restock.

I stepped out of my house and walked to the bus stop to board Danfo heading to Idumota, Lagos Island.- 'Danfo' are commercial buses painted yellow to convey commuters from one place to another along the specific route. Danfo is the cheapest snd most affordable means of transportation in Lagos. It is a 14seater bus- which is managed by a Driver and conductor. What is really baffling is that the conductor is supposed to be seated on the fourteenth seat close to the door but more than 99% choose to hang vertically on the door in order to make money out of the 14th seat. It is always a dramatic situation from passengers refusal to pay the amount charged by the conductor to driver driving on a high speed because he was trying to dodge Road safety officers.

Oh! Did i mention that you never board a Danfo- you either dive, or jump, if you are lucky you will board with honor - they are impatient and most times thay are always in a hurry because they stop pessengers or pick up passengers at an undesignated place.

I finally reached the market. It was jam packed with traders/vendors haggling prices and some are yelling on top of their voices to call in customers to buy their wares. Those who could not afford a shop used a very huge umbrella to protect themselves and wares from Lagos scorching sun. Thankfully, i applied sunscreen and i used a veil to protect my body from the sun. I located my suppliers, negotiated and i bought mops, brushes , footmats and some other household essentials.

It was time to make my way home. I paid 'Alabaru' who stacked my goods on her head and we headed to the bus stop. 'Alabaru' are carriers who helps traders to carry their goods to the car park or bus stop. (The market is narrow and there is hardly any room to take a step).

As i made my way back home, i noticed cows roped by the side of the road waiting for Eid sales. It was a long and productive day.
