## I hadn't done a timed writing exercise

Synth</b></center></div><div class="text-justify">(or challenge, though I like to think of them as practice, hehe) in quite a while, and didn't really have much interest in working on the previous ideas last night, so I decided to just set a timer and see where it went. I did cheat a little, spending maybe 2 or 3 minutes afterwards just fixing volume levels, as this was basically unlistenable before, cause I was rushing to just add stuff, haha. I started with a 2 chord progression, in Track 1 (pictured below), using the LABS Soft Piano sound, recorded that audio to Track 3, then reversed each chord; it plays a Bmin7 and Emin7, though both of them are missing the 3rd, and have a 9th added on top. Track 2 is a ROLI bass sound, which just sticks to roots, B and E, back and forth Track 4 is another ROLI sound, with an arepggiator, which plays the chords pictured to the right here. Track 5 is the drums, which use one of the kits included in the Native Instruments' Komplete Start package, with a Thermal distortion preset dropped on top to make it way heavier and crunchy. Track 6 adds two note dyads (D/B, and E/B), another ROLI synth sound, and finally, we have Track 7, a spacey, ambient pad sound. Overall, not my favorite idea, but I think maybe the drums will be something I'll try and take and use elsewhere; I like the pattern, as we are just in 4/4, and you can feel that groove, but sometimes can also feel it as 6, 6 and 4, which was mostly related to me copy-pasting the beat to make it longer, and accidentally not selecting the 4th beat of each repetition. Happy accident though, maybe I'll take that and try and do something cooler with it.</div>
