##   Slift  - *Fearless Eye*


## Slift is a band I just discovered
last week, and have really gotten into.  They were formed a few years ago in Toulose, France by Canek Flores, Jean Fossat, and Rémi Fossat.  The first song I heard from the band was on a live peformance, in the KEXP studio, and it had a bit of a modern indie sort of vibe, with clean, chorus laden guitars, but that is definitely only a part of what they do.  The band also incorporates some super awesome, heavy, psyche-rock sort of riffs, which are reminiscent of early **Smashing Pumpkins** to me.  These two sounds seem quite different, but honestly they really work, and give **Slift** a unique vibe.

## This is the single from the band's
2018 debut full length, ***La Planète Inexplorée***.  The year before, they had an EP, and I believe are working on new material now.  This song incorporates both the heavy psyche stuff, and the lighter, more modern sounding clean guitar sounds, and is a good introduction to the group.  If you like this, I highly recommend checking out the album in its entirety, you will not be disappointed.
