## Lite has been a longtime favorite

I really love their sound because, although they use mathrock ideas and themes, they also incorporate a ton of other influences, and are more than willing to keep things simple and straightforward if it serves the song, and kick things into complex-gear when they need to.  The group was formed in 2003 in Tokyo, Japan, and consists of Nobuyuki Takeda (guitar), Kozo Kusumoto (guitar & synthesizer), Jun Izawa (bass), and Akinori Yamamoto (drums) (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lite_(band)">Source: Wikipedia</a>).  They've released 6 albums in the years since, 2 mini albums, a few EPs, live albums, etc., many of which are on Topshelf Records, a US label that I know about via the group <b>Caravels</b>, a local band that my friends were in, also on the label.  Today's song is from <b>LITE's</b> most recent release <i>Multiple</i>, from 2019.  This album and song are heavily rhythmically oriented, with the bass and drums providing a super solid base level of every song.  Their bassist (and everyone else in the band) is incredibly talented, and sometimes does solo-livestreams on Instagram, which are worth checking out, they're really cool!</div>
