# <center><b>Mission of Burma</b> - <i>Einstein's Day</i></center>

They definitely remain one of my absolute favorites, and a band that was doing things way ahead of their time. The group was first formed in 1979 in Boston, MA by Roger Miller (guitar), Clint Conley (bass), Peter Prescott (drums) and Martin Swope (tape manipulator/sound engineer) (Source - <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_of_Burma">Wikipedia</a>). Miller, Prescott and Conley all wrote songs and provided vocals, which gives their music a lot of interesting variation. I LOVED their first EP when I discovered it, though their first full length <i>Vs.</i> (where this song comes from) took me a little bit. Initially, I liked the punkier tracks from it, but over the years, the more experimental, post-punky stuff has become a lot more interesting. It's pretty impressive that this song was written and recorded in 1980/1981, as the guitar riffs could easily come from a '90s or early '00s post-hardcore band. I think this speaks to the band's influence amongst the more experimental edge of American punk, a definite testament to their talent.</div>
