You may not have ever wondered or cared, but I'm about to show you...

Last weekend we had some "power issues" that ended up killing one of our network switches at the office. Being a good IT guy, everything's under warranty and a new one arrived next-day.

Today was a slower day at work, so I decided to tear this thing down and show you what's inside. Okay, okay, you got me. I was actually pull this apart for scrap and to get any good bits out of and figured I'd make a Steemit post, too.

I have seen the inside of stuff like this before. I many moons ago got my Hardware tech course, but then had babies and well that shot that to shit, cause of the constant upgraded needed so I changed careers for like the 3rd time. LOL but thanks for the memory.

You would love delving about in my barn - that are about 30 old servers and boxes and boxes of network bits. So hard to resell that stuff it all ended in my barn.  And lots of mice too...

The old items may have gold (tiny, tiny amounts) in it that could be reclaimed though a long, laborious process. :) Otherwise, just "cool" value or (in my case) the possibility of being upcycled into something else.
