a good start to the new year for everyone.
Antonio Machado, the great Spanish poet, said in one of his poems:

the path and nothing more;
Walker, there is no path,
the path is made by walking.

you see the path that you will never
that will never be trodden again.
Walker, there is no path
but trails on the sea.*</center>
Remembering these stanzas and perhaps because I will not return (or maybe I will) to visit these places, I will make a summary of the places I have visited in 2020 and I have shared in this beautiful community.

buen inicio de año para todos.
Antonio Machado, el gran poeta español, decía en una de sus poesías:

se ve la senda que nunca

Recordando estas estrofas y tal vez porque no vuelva (o tal vez si) a visitar estos lugares trataré de un hacer un resumen de los luigares que he visitado en el 2020 y he compartido en esta hermosa comunidad.

To say Barcelona and to say Gaudí is the same thing. The whole city is impregnated with his artistic style.
Cultural walks, shopping promenades, theme parks, works of singular beauty and the greatest expression in religious temples that can be conceived in the whole of Catalonia: La Sagrada Familia.
As I said before in one of my posts: Barcelona is one of the cities I have visited the most during my long stay in Europe and perhaps one of the cities with which I feel most identified.
There is a great identification of the Catalans with their city and region, in all senses, not only artistic.
And, of course, with Gaudí, the true artistic and cultural soul-mater of the Catalan capital.

> Y, por supuesto, con Gaudí verdadero alma-mater artístico y cultural de la capital catalana.

### Berlin the iconic bear symbol of the European economic power. / Berlin el emblemático oso símbolo de la potencia económica europea.

Berlin is very different from Barcelona, but it also has its charm.
It doesn't have a Gaudí, it's true, that shows the elegance of an innovative, revolutionary and brilliant artistic style.
But it has the strength of an art that speaks of centuries of history, not always in peace.
The Brandenburg Gate, the emblem of the city, next to the Reichstag, speaks to us of the German power that after the fall of the Wall has integrated culturally with the rest of Europe in a more harmonious way.
Shaken off its totalitarian and oppressive past, Berlin has gradually transformed itself into a modern metropolis where a certain rebellious and liberal way of life prevails. This also manifests itself in art.
Part of the Berlin Wall was left intact as a testimony of the past, but also to allow artists from all over the world to express in it, with their art, their feelings of repudiation of a socially divided past, but at the same time also the expression of a new freedom.

### A factory in the heart of the Argentine pampas. / Una factoria en el corazón de la pampa argentina.

How can you amalgamate two concepts as different as the great European cities, with their art and millennia of history, with the immense expanse of the Argentinean Pampas plains, with kilometres travelled seeing only crops, animals and the infinite and uniform horixonte?
Everything has its charm, obviously diverse.
There are places that allow us to get into the history of art and its evolution (like Barcelona) or to be part of the evolution of humanity (like Berlin) and the devastating force of an economic engine that never stops.
Visiting a factory on the Argentinean Pampas plains is like putting the soul at peace with itself.
It is a moment to reflect, to stop the frenetic pace of our lives, and to admire the simple, everyday things that nature gives us.
Where knowledge is limited to observing the natural environment that surrounds us without analysing or studying the centuries it took to generate it.
It is a knowledge that teaches us to take care of the environment, nature and the beings that are part of it. Because they are part of our life.

> Cómo se pueden amalgamar dos conceptos tan distintos como las grandes ciudades europeas, con su arte y su historia milnearia, con la inmensa extensión de la llanura pampeana argentina, con kms recorridos viendo sólo sembradíos, animales y el horizonte infinito y uniforme?
> Todo tiene su encanto, obviamente diverso.
> Hay lugares que al visitarlos nos permiten meternos dentro de la misma historia del arte y su evolución (como Barcelona) o hacer parte de la evolución de la humanidad (como Berlín) y la fuerza devastante de un motor económico que no se detiene nunca.
> Visitar una factoría en la llanura pampeana argentina es como meter el alma en paz consigo misma.
> Es un momento para reflexionar, para detener el ritmo frenético de nuestras vidas, y admirar las cosas simples y cotidianas que nos brinda la naturaleza.
> Donde el conocimiento se limita a observar el entorno natural que nos rodea sin analizar o estudiar los siglos que se necesitaron para generarlo.
> Es un conocimiento que nos enseña a cuidar el medio ambiente, la naturaleza y los seres que la integra. Porque son parte de nuestra vida.

### Recorriendo el sur argentino (Patagonia)
Visiting the south of Argentina is a unique experience.
There is such a diversity of landscapes and such an immense extension that it never ceases to amaze.
Most of its provinces are larger than any European country, to give you an idea.
The natural beauty ranges from the rugged, semi-arid Patagonian steppe, with a few bushes and shrubs, monotonous and with an infinite horizon, to the Atlantic beaches that bathe the entire southern coast of Argentina with their warm or cold waters as we approach the southern tip.
To the west, the Andes mountain range offers us a totally different panorama populated by marvellous lakes of crystalline and cold water, of glacial origin, coming from the thawing of the high peaks, a vegetation of centenary and leafy trees such as myrtles, larches, radales and all the range of conifers that can be imagined. With 100 kms of the world's wonder route: The Route of the 7 Lakes, impossible to miss.
