### Upgrading Ubuntu Miners to Steem Version 0.12.2

This quick and easy guide will help get you ugraded to Steem version 0.12.2 and mining again in no time. This guide is intended for miners using Ubuntu and works for Ubuntu Virtual Machines in Windows also.

First stop your miner and close any Terminal windows in Steem.
 Using file manager rename the steem folder to old_steem.
 Open a Terminal window and enter the following commands:

1. git clone https://github.com/steemit/steem
2. cd steem
3. git submodule update --init --recursive
4. cmake -DENABLE_CONTENT_PATCHING=OFF -DLOW_MEMORY_NODE=ON CMakeLists.txt
5. make
6. cd programs/steemd

Using file manager, go to the old_steem/programs/steemd folder and copy the folder witness_node_data_dir, then go to the steem/programs/steemd folder and paste the witness_node_data_dir folder.

In the steemd terminal window enter the command:

./steemd --replay

Your miner will start up and begin Replaying Blocks for a several minutes then begin syncing. You can tell it's syncing because you will see the messages with a Hash Rate of 1hps. When the miner finishes syncing you will see your normal hash rate. _**Upgrade Complete!**_

### What's in Your Wallet?

If you wish to set up cli_wallet you can simply transfer the encrypted keys for the old version, all you need to do is you copy the wallet.json file in the old_steem/programs/cli_wallet/ folder to the steem/programs/cli_wallet folder.

If you are setting up the wallet for the first time, open a second Terminal window and enter the following commands:

1 .cd steem/programs/cli_wallet
2 ./cli_wallet
3 set_password "PASSWORD"
4 unlock "PASSWORD"
5 import_key 5_Your_Original_WIF_Private_Key
